Historia
When Louise finds out her parents have died, she dreads going home. She doesn’t want to leave her daughter with her ex and fly to Charleston. She doesn’t want to deal with her family home, stuffed to the rafters with the remnants of her father’s academic career and her mother’s lifelong obsession with puppets and dolls. She doesn’t want to learn how to live without the two people who knew and loved her best in the world. Most of all, she doesn’t want to deal with her brother, Mark, who never left their hometown, gets fired from one job after another, and resents her success.

How unoriginal and boring it was
Revisado: 01-04-24
I disliked 99% of this. I love some of Grady's other books, but this was garbage. He should've paid me to sit through this thing.

Historia
Young Jude Brighton has been missing for three days, and while the search for him is in full swing in the small town of Deer Valley, Oregon, the locals are starting to lose hope. They're well aware that the first 48 hours are critical and after that, the odds usually point to a worst-case scenario. And despite Stevie Clark's youth, he knows that, too; he's seen the cop shows. He knows what each ticking moment may mean for Jude, his cousin and best friend.

BRUTAL!
Revisado: 08-20-21
I never grew bored at any point and it only picked up speed until that brutal crash (figuratively) in the end. I loved it.

Not King's greatest work, but not bad either
Revisado: 08-17-21
The narrator is pretty good except for when it comes to the middle eastern accents. Those were horrible! It sounded like a bad Asian accent. LOL

Definitely worth a credit!
Revisado: 05-13-21
This was a lot of fun! Great narration of a wonderful story, perfect for summertime listening! It has fractions of many of my favorite books, but with its own story and twists. I'm thinking IT, The Outsider set in the south and combined with many of my other favorite stories growing up. I won't give anything away though. Just buckle up and enjoy the ride!

phenomenal story!
Revisado: 10-07-20
This is possibly King's greatest book in the last 20 years. It's got all of the elements that you've come to expect with a beautifully horrific Lovecraftian end. Would recommend to all of SK fans. FIVE STARS FOR SURE!

What a ride!
Revisado: 04-08-20
I didn't expect to feel so many emotions from this one. That ending was gut wrenching! Just ended up feeling bad for almost every character. Well, except Kemp. Joe wasn't a great guy either, but he did love his son. I'd recommend this book. It'll probably end up being more than you expected too!

Four chiller novellas set to keep listeners awake long after bedtime. One Past Midnight: "The Langoliers" takes a red-eye flight from LA to Boston into a most unfriendly sky. Only 11 passengers survive, but landing in an eerily empty world makes them wish they hadn't. Something's waiting for them, you see.

Not sure why it has such good ratings. I was thoroughly bored with this one. Probably my 2nd least favorite king book, right under Colorado Kid.
