This is a new author & narrator for me. I found this book on the 2 for 1 sale in the US. Great character development and storyline. The narrator did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life & the battle scenes. It really makes you fall in love with the characters. I'm bummed it's over. I think there's another book coming 🎉

I'm in awe of Austin, she is a powerhouse of strength and endurance. I don't know any 13-year-old that could have held that size of family together with the tragedy she went through. Susan Bennett did a phenomenal job narrating and bringing this cast of characters to life. I'm new to this author but will definitely read more of her work. Definitely spend your credit on this book.
