Excellent explanation
Revisado: 12-12-23
I was impressed with all that Rick had to learn about garbage pickup and the gangster operations that go with it. I thought it was very educational. Bill ruckelshaus is what Rick says he is.

Awful

OK, OK, OK
It’s alright, It’s alright, It’s alright
I guess it’s alright and OK to illustrate love in a gruesome setting. Otherwise it was downright boring.

Historia
Have you ever wanted to visit Machu Picchu, or witness the Northern Lights? To explore remote landscapes where no boot has tread, no shutter ever snapped? You can.... Before he became Green Giant on the Appalachian Trail, Gary Sizer was a Marine, a computer nerd, and a guy with a problem. No matter how much time he spends outside, it's never enough. Whether being thrashed by drill instructors at Parris Island or drenched by a squall in a high tundra, the same calming thought always prevailed: It's good to be outside.

It’s a good book for grade school kids. If you’re looking for a sleep aid, this book is fine.

Historia
Perry's IQ is only 76, but he's not stupid. His grandmother taught him everything he needs to know to survive: she taught him to write things down so he won't forget them. She taught him to play the lottery every week. And, most important, she taught him whom to trust. When Gram dies, Perry is left orphaned and bereft at the age of 31. Then his weekly Washington State Lottery ticket wins him 12 million dollars, and he finds he has more family than he knows what to do with.

This book is a fantastic story and the narrative was excellent. What I didn’t like was the repetitive references to Gram and Gramp.
The main characters were very likable and the evil characters were well developed.

Stupid Story

A picture of this book jacket should be shown next to the word 'insipid' in the dictionary Also the narrator fits the story. Maybe this book could be put in the preteen category.

What a story. Really clever and very suspenseful with a very likable protagonist. The author must have had or at least heard of an experience that inspired him to write this story.

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Narrator Overly Dramatic
Revisado: 08-24-16
The story could have been good but unfortunately there wasn't one likable character. The narrator kept pronouncing "stupid" as "shtuuupid" and the progenitor was stupid anyway.

Exciting book and well told but I prefer American narrator. Although narrator speaks well, he can't say his "th" in English words such as the word thought.

Historia
Jack Wade, a claims adjuster for California Fire and Life Mutual Insurance Company, is one of the best arson investigators around. He's a man who knows fire, who can read the traces it leaves behind like a roadmap. When he's called in to examine an unusual claim, the tracks of the fire tell him that something's wrong. So wrong that he violates his own cardinal rule - "You don't get personal, you don't get emotional. Whatever you do, you don't get involved" - and plunges into the case.

"The mother" because she was as murderous as her son.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"The intricacies of insurance fraud"
Any additional comments?
Don Winslow could make even the dullest book exciting and scary.
