Ricciardi put together one hell of a story. It's like a fireworks show produced by Disney and performed in concert with a world class orchestra. Starts out with a bang, keeps you guessing and so engaged in what's going on that you won't even have time to prepare for the grand finale when it comes... and it will come. In my opinion this is where the series truly begins. The first book (Warning Lights) seems more like a prequel now that I've finished this one. It's been a while since I've found a new writer/narrator combination this exciting! If you are taking the time to read this review just stop now and buy the book! P.s I've been an audible listener for about 15 years and have only written 4 or 5 reviews. I don't want to over sell this book but; even if I did, it would be hard to do.

I really tried

First off, this series is certainly in the top 5 on my all time list among Mitch Rapp, Victor the Assassin, Orphan X, and Peter Ash. Court Gentry has been a favorite of mine since the beginning and that's why it's so difficult to write this review. I cannot comprehend why author Mark Greaney chose to flip the format into first person nine books in to a proven, successful and phenomenal series. Don't get me wrong; It's still The Grey Man and Mark Greaney is still an extremely talented writer but I just can't get over the sudden and unexpected change to listening to Court Gentry narrate for Court Gentry instead of letting Jay Snyder do his thing. I implore Mr. Greaney and his publishers to release an alternate version which is written and read in the same way as all the others. Truly disappointed. I was SO looking forward to this release🙁

Solid from getting to back! Still trying to fill the impossible void left by Flynn but have discovered several good reads. Bad Country and Orphan X are both great as well!
