The Strength & Loyalty of Media
Revisado: 08-28-24
I Loved this story, and I hated how ruthless as well as barbaric the people were in that time period. Compassion didn't even seem to exist. Thank You Almighty God for sending us a Savior. Watching the News today doesn't seem we've evolved much in this time period either.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.

Didn't see that coming
Revisado: 10-23-23
I really enjoyed this story. It was a little slow but built up nicely and I totally didn't expect the outcome. I wish there was a little more about how the relationship develops and what happens to the wife, sorted left with a little bit of a cliff hanger as far as she is concerned. I didn't want to name names here, I don't want to let the cat out of the bag.

Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Yes !!!
Revisado: 01-08-23
Yes it's over the top, to many impossible things happening , but I Loved it. You have to be in the mood for a British style of story telling. I found this book extremely enjoyable and laughed alot at some of the absurdity I was reading. I think that is the point. Sorta of a Big fish meets Forrest Gump tale within many historical timelines. This book just became one of my favorites that I'll read over and over again for years to come!!!!

Emmeline O'Shea has been an outspoken advocate for the shape-shifter community, which has come under unjust attack from a political body known as the PSRC (Predatory Shifter Regulations Committee), and her robust efforts have landed her a prestigious position as the spokesperson for the International Shifter Rights Organization. She has been selected to give the final address in Scotland before they vote on legislation that will grant protective rights to the shifter community. Because she is fundamentally changing the laws, she is also receiving death threats.

Sorry just over it
Revisado: 12-07-22
This might be a good book for the younger generation. I'm just over the Shifter, Vampire, Mummy, Frankenstein, Witches, Genre it's just been done to death. Yet I'm quite certain there is an abundant audience for this type of book but for me I'm just over it.

Well Done !!!
Revisado: 12-04-22
I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. the Narrator was great, so much so as to the male characters I never noticed her voice , it was seemless, The story was really well done with a suprise ending. I only wish there had been an epilogue. I thought this book was really good , heartbreaking yet with a nice bit of revenge that leaves you feeling satisfied.

Not my favorite.
Revisado: 06-11-22
This book was just not my favorite. I was just bored and had a hard time paying attention. I love Penny Reid's book series so with that said Im going to move on to the next series. I loved her humor between charaters in her knitting seies. I wish there was more of it. I'd take humor over the several sex scenes. Less is more in this regard.

Could have been better
Revisado: 05-28-22
This started out interesting then the rest of it went down hill. The last chapter and both Epilogues were nothing but sex. I like a good Romance Novel but honestly now days I find myself skipping All the sex chapters because they are just repetitious and boring. What happened to the story???

Good Story
Revisado: 02-09-22
I wish there had been a little more resolution at the end chapter, all that angst between mother and daughter. Though it tied up, it seemed it did so abruptly. it could have been a better ending.

Great Story
Revisado: 01-27-22
Love this story, I wish there were more on this time period. I may have just missed them thus far. The narrator is fairly good but seems a little sqeaky , and high pitched in places. Over all ,this is one story I come back often.
