Really fun book!

This was a great book with emotion, suspense, great characters, interesting sci-fi and great narration.
He did a good job imposing limits to the time travel paradox. I do wish he would have thrown in reference to the Terminator movies, rather than ignoring the similarities. He referenced plenty of other things from pop culture of the era they were in.

Great and relevant story

This is a great story with a lot of important messages.
The key message being the importance of science and the support of curiosity and the seeking of knowledge over ignorance and the acceptance of unsubstantiated rationalization.

Never interacted with kids

I’m only part way through it. This book is about young kids being trained to become soldiers and officers in a war. The kids have sophisticated thoughts about each other one even hacks a computer to send clandestine messages disguised as being from another kid. BUT THEY’RE ONLY 6 YEARS OLD!! They have these boys acting, thinking and talking like they are 16 or 17 years old, but keep saying they are 6 or 7. I don’t care if they are all geniuses, 7 year olds would not act like that. The book is fine so far except that it ruins it for me every time the author mentions their age.

Great motivator!

This was a great book. But is a bit outdated in some areas now. I didn’t lower the rating for that though.
The book really covers all the aspects of retiring abroad. And where they don’t go into detail they provide websites where you can get more detail.
It is probably just out of date with regard to housing prices and technologies like Skype, Vonage and other VoIP apps they mention that are not the common ones used today.
