If you liked Twilight by Stephanie Myers & wanted to spice up the drama, you should like this with Dragons, werewolves, vampires, & witches in an Alaskan private school atmosphere. No surprises, but intriguing conflicts of teenage relationship drama. Not my cup of Joe or even tea, nope not even a cold soda comes close!

interesting plot, shape shifter magic

the plot started out very intriguing, however, after about 1/3 of the way the focus shifted from mystical fantasy to a unfavorable quest & graphic description of weird fantasy gay LGBT sexual activities. I couldn't continue, although I wanted to find out the character's struggles in controlling the rage, violence, & anger it struggled with. it was a great disappointment that the author had to drag the sexual scenes into what ap

The suspense &intrigue

Sanderson does it again. I have loved his books for many years. However, I'm reluctant to start, almost fearful at the start. Yet I look forward to reading. I know that once I start, I won't put the story in any pause or stopping place. I must read, the suspense & transition between events, places, people, etc. just keeps me from doing anything else. Once I start, I seem to ignore everything & immerse myself into the story. Thank, you for allowing me to be entertained & fully involved in your fantasies, dreams, or wherever your creative mind developes the imaginative stories. Keep your imagination & surprise us with fantastic entertainment through the written words.

Somewhat disappointed

I again enjoyed the story, the suspense, & intrigue. I have enjoyed the author's novels & will continue to look forward to his next work. I was disappointed however in the increased use of the "F" word in the storyline. I'm disappointed that the author feels like he has to make the story "more realistic" by using profanity, maybe it's more likely to happen in the real situation. However, it's not necessary to follow the current trend of increasing that level of speech to be perceived as "realistic". This author already has unique artistic writing skills, I thoroughly look forward to reading his novels, he doesn't need to include the level of profanity to sell them. It actually narrows his audience in my humble opinion. I can't wait for his next fantastic read, however. I will continue to label him one of my favorite authors & hope for the Taskforce to solve the plots against our nation that no one will accept & stays in the realm of "need to know" classification. Thanks for the intriguing, up-to-date, situation.

Disappointed

I enjoyed the storyline, however, I was disappointed to find out, at the very end, the story was "to be continued". Even more, I was surprised at the extensive use of profanity, the "F" & "MF" words, especially. I don't remember the authors', both individual & separate novels, using profanity to such proliferation. Good novels don't necessitate such vulgar language, it only demonstrates, in my opinion, giving into a lower class of what's perceived as "bad-grammatical" literature. Come on guys you're better authors, story tellers, & writers to delve into such territory. I have thoroughly enjoyed your novels, please continue, respectfully.

Baldacci at his best

Another great novel by my favorite author, couldn't stop reading till the end. A surprise ending, just like most of his stories. Ever since I read his first novel, I've enjoyed & looked forward to his next suspense, he didn't let me down. Any one who has read his past books, won't be disappointed. Can't wait till his next book is published & distributed. Thank you, Sir, for your many years of enjoyed reading.

Extraterrestrial intrigue?

Slightly disappointed, not up to what I was anticipating from these great authors & story tellers. There wasn't the anticipation & intrigue of mysterious consequences nor supernatural phenomenon. Expected more, very typical story line for extraterrestrial discoveries.

Fantastic, entertaining, & awesome. What else can I say, this series is a must read for fantasy readers, but make sure you've read the prior 4 books to enjoy the journey. I would place this up against the Harry Potter stories & would recommend both as in the top of my bucket list of must reads for everyone.
