It's not I read both the hunting and haunting adaline series, and it ended with Sibie running of with a nurse or something so I thought this was giving her back story before hopping in to what was happening next...my bad for thinking that. overall it is a long side those books but you can read it before, after or not at all and it takes nothing away...... you kinda already know the truth so it truly up to you if you want to know her back story but nothing else coming out of it.

At all the good parts it kinda skimmed over the interesting stuff....you kinda get more details it at the very end. It's more about pining love and deal with the consequences of a one night stand we don't really get any details about 🤷🏾♀️.

very young girl with older man, older man can't have her because she's underage by like a week. Storm hits a day after her birthday, she scared runs to him after he had a few to many and fade to black.....then we have to hear about how their going to deal with the aftermath.

I love this series!!! you will have to read the first book to really get the story line, but if you just want to drive in you can somewhat fill in the missing parts. but viper is also worth the read/listen.

If you like the romantic trope of the guy hates everyone but you. You have found your book!!!!! These two are the cutest couple and it has heavy content, ( which is a little hard to find in alien books some times). I promise you will love this book.

the love scene are lackluster and the relationship not really flushed out. it's would be better if they focused more on the story or the love. Because they can't do both. like I said before it's all just kinda good no part was great or would make me come back for another read.
