Historia
On July 4, 2022, a shooter climbed onto a rooftop in Highland Park, Illinois, and opened fire on a Fourth of July parade below, killing seven people and wounding dozens more. Prosecutors charged Robert “Bobby” Crimo III with the mass shooting. But this attack was part of something even more insidious. Bobby had created an elaborate game—complete with cryptic videos, a book of numbers, and an eerie online presence—designed to seed a conspiracy theory about the massacre.

Sad that a respectable investigative journalist put any time and effort into this love struck twit and the mass murderer who manipulated her into believing another idiotic conspiracy theory. If people weren’t dead, this would be laughable.

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Didn’t expect high quality from James Patterson, but at least I thought it would be adult garbage.
Even Tweens would be insulted by this muck.

Could’ve been really interesting, but aims for the 10-13 year-old-just-learning-curse-words audience.
All the pointless F-bombs and the way-too-cool vernacular wear thin quickly and render the history lessons tedious.
File this under “R-rated YA.”

Historia
Bull Durham, the breakthrough 1988 film about a minor league baseball team, is widely revered as the best sports movie of all time. But back in 1987, Ron Shelton was a first-time director and no one was willing to finance a movie about baseball—especially a story set in the minors. The jury was still out on Kevin Costner’s leading-man potential, while Susan Sarandon was already a has-been. There were doubts. But something miraculous happened, and The Church of Baseball attempts to capture why.

Miscast
Revisado: 08-14-22
You would’ve thought that an established film director would know how to cast a picture and that after a bad reading, he would not cast that actor.
Shelton should not have cast himself.
His reading is terrible.

The usual Stephen King psycho horror tropes with trite dialogue and some REALLY bad acting, especially the women.
Surely there are TALENTED out-of-work actors who will work cheaply.

Tedious and overwrought.
Revisado: 06-02-22
Stalker stories are usually frightening and involving and one really feels for the stalkee. They are living through a nightmare and have almost no way to stop it.
That said, this stalkee shouldn’t be telling her own story. She tries so hard to dramatize it that it actually gets boring. The narration comes across like someone trying to write a suspense screenplay.
The soundscape feels as overwrought as the script and comes off as pointless.
If she wants to make a movie of her ordeal, more power to her. But she should just sell the rights and let the pros do it.

Historia
Pete Townshend is one of the great figures in rock ‘n’ roll history. For almost 60 years, The Who have balanced the physical and the spiritual with introspective lyrics and inspirational music. But there is a part of Townshend’s story—and The Who’s—that has not been examined. These are his Words + Music. In the Audible Original Pete Townshend: Somebody Saved Me, the songwriter takes us through the period between the 1978 death of Who drummer Keith Moon and the 2002 loss of bassist John Entwistle.
