Historia
Josh Duffy is staring into the abyss. A decorated army veteran turned military contractor, his last mission went sideways, leaving him badly injured and his career derailed. Now, he’s working as a mall cop, trying to keep his family one step ahead of the bill collectors. So when a chance at redemption - and a big pay day - comes his way, Duff eagerly jumps in. The job - to ride shotgun on a motorcade of heavily armed and armored vehicles as they roll into Mexico’s cartel country.

An experiment that tried hard but didn’t work
Revisado: 02-15-22
Mark Greaney is without doubt a master story teller, no question of that….but Armoured falls absolutely flat against all his previous works.
The multiple voices are lacklustre and tired, and the average experience listening to the story is akin to sitting in a movie theatre watching a C grade movie with your eyes shut.
Based on this product (yep product…STORIES have souls…this doesn’t) I would advise Mark to expand his team of beta readers to include some who can offer valued criticism.
By the way, I have every book Mark has written in my library…this is the first one I’m going to return.

Entertainment without foul language
Revisado: 07-17-15
Would you listen to Fallen Out: A Jesse McDermitt Novel (Caribbean Adventure Series, Volume 1) again? Why?
Absolutely...I have read all of Wayne Stinnett's Jesse McDermitt novels and found them all eminently readable.
I bought the Audible book version to see if it measured up to my expectations for the character I had built in my mind....it certainly did the job and I would heartily recommend it and any following Jesse stories to any of Wayne's fans
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes.... A great read from the start, allowing the plot to develop along the way
Which character – as performed by Nick Sullivan – was your favorite?
I though Nick did a great job with all the characters....with just enough inflection and tonal twist to keep them all believably separate
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Having been a Lobster diver on the Bahama Banks for some years it was good to read a little bit about something that brought back a few very good memory of life on the Matty Sein

Revisado: 04-05-15
Would you listen to Omega Rising again? Why?
Having read all of Joshua's books I have really enjoyed being able to sit back and have them given a new dimension of life in audio.
The series for me is entertaining enough for me to place it in my re-read file.
What did you like best about this story?
the easy going, believable writing style utilising characters that are well constructed and fit perfectly within a great story line
Have you listened to any of Paul Heitsch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no, I haven't listened to Paul prior to listening to Omega Force, but he did a great job of vocalising Joshua's story
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Could't put the book down after getting into it, and found Had the same reaction to the audible version....I very seriously hope that Audible creates the whole series in the vocal format
Any additional comments?
I,m keeping track of Joshua to see if he creates further Omega Force adventures

Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

Elijah does Mark Proud
Revisado: 03-11-13
What made the experience of listening to Adventures of Huckleberry Finn: A Signature Performance by Elijah Wood the most enjoyable?
Elijah really stretched himself to accurately portray the Southern dialect that is so integral to Twain's Huckleberry character ...a brilliant rendition.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Obviously Huck...but having said that, all the characters were totally believable.
What about Elijah Wood’s performance did you like?
The concise articulation of the entire story whilst maintaining a brilliant understanding of period Southern dialect....he was Huckleberry Finn to a T
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Huckleberry's realisation that Jim (as a Negro) had the same fears and feelings as white folks...that subtle realisation that we're all the same under the skin

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

First time I heard Luke read...and am looking for more of his work
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
