Two Souls Seeking Love
Revisado: 09-12-17
What did you love best about Under the Sun?
The friendship and eventual love that developed between Jackson and Tracey
Which scene was your favorite?
The first time Tracey and Jackson were intimate
Any additional comments?
The characters were well developed and it was a sweet, touching tale of two people whose happiness was long overdue. Jackson put his life on hold after the death of his fiance and their baby. Tracey put her happiness on the back burner to care for her dying grandmother. It just goes to show that good things happen to good people.....

A Profound Love Story
Revisado: 09-10-17
Would you listen to Wonderland again? Why?
YES! It is an inspirational story
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wonderland?
When Lucas was in the hospital with Preston and Julian by his side
Have you listened to any of Nathan Huddleston’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've never listened to Nathan Huddleston, but his voice was PERFECT for this story!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The final scene brought me to tears
Any additional comments?
Lucas Colton had a bad breakup with his significant other, back in Boston. Cast out by his parents for being gay, he moves to New York to live with his brother, Julian. Lucas enrolls in a poetry class and upon reading one of his poems to the class, his professor Preston Davidson realizes the talent this young man has. After class, Preston asks Lucas to stay and they strike up a conversation, which leads to having coffee and a developing friendship. A friendship that runs deeper and evolves into the two falling in love. Unconditional love, not laced with sex, but of compassion.
Ms. Ourvrad has written a poignant tale about a man who has a terminal illness and is seeking love and acceptance before he dies. While this is a tale about two gay men, it could easily be about a heterosexual couple. There is no sex in the story - rather a tale of acceptance and true love. So eloquently written, I would recommend this to everyone. Nathan Huddleston's voice was perfect for the character and he did a superb job displaying the emotions of a man who's time in limited and resolves to make the most of every minute. Have a box of tissues at hand...this is a tear jerker...

What did you like best about this story?
I loved how Brooklyn came out of her shell and succumbed to her online Master.
Have you listened to any of Ruby Rivers and La Petite Mort ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to another of La Petite Mort's narrations from this author, Unchained Melody and loved his smooth voice.

Revisado: 02-22-17
What did you love best about Saving Private Blue?
It's a great love story - and who doesn't love a guy in uniform?
What did you like best about this story?
The angsty part maybe? You know how you want to just kick someone for pushing the one they love away and tell them to snap out of it. I loved Savannah and was pulling for her to get her guy. Billy? Gaww....what a guy (stubborn as hell, albeit, but still <3 )
Any additional comments?
I loved the narration...this duo has an audible chemistry that translates into the 'pages' of the story. Of course it helps that they were given a great piece of work to narrate!

The Sweetest Things in Life.....
Revisado: 02-22-17
If you could sum up Sugar & Spice in three words, what would they be?
Heartwarming, believable, romantic
What did you like best about this story?
The characters!
What does David L. White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
This was my first 'listen' to one of David's narrations. I found his voice to be very easy to listen to.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The interaction between Candy and Trent was so touching.
Any additional comments?
At first, I was shocked to hear a male narration of this book. It took me a while to realize that this narrator was reading a story to me...once I settled in, the story flowed beautifully and I found his voice to be very easy to listen to. The fact that he had such a great story to narrate had a lot to do with it ;)
I like how the story was set in a small town - I think it was the perfect town and setting for the story. Moreover, I love how the author developed believable characters who tug at your heart strings.

Deliverance through Forgiveness
Revisado: 01-14-17
Which character – as performed by Paul Morey – was your favorite?
While I loved Jack and Zach, I have to say Roberto melted my heart.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would have loved to, but time constraints prohibited that. I listen to audio books on my daily commute to and from the office...
Any additional comments?
WOW! This book had so many meanings to me and it's taken me a day to get my thoughts together to write this review. First off, I'm not an experienced M/M romance reader, so I'm going to tell you just what I took away from this story.....several words that come to mind are: Forgiveness, selflessness, and hope.
Jack Fleming has a past - he'd been horrifically bullied in high school and wore the scars physically as well as emotionally. He'd moved on and made a good life for himself, doing good things for others in the process.
Zachariah Durbin, the world famous writer also has a past. Prior to becoming a published author and attaining celebrity status, he had a hand in the incident that gave Jack Fleming the scars he wore.
You can never escape your past ....will your dastardly deeds come back to haunt you?
In the case of Zachariah, yes they did. Flash forward fifteen years and Zach is intent on talking to Jack. He must apologize - you know, make amends. After several angsty phone calls, Jack agrees to get on the private jet, sent by Zachariah and goes to meet his torturer.
What happens when the two men, (who at one time were best friends) see each other after fifteen long years?
I think what I loved best about this story is that you could easily insert a male and a female as main characters in your mind and the story would still stand true to the fact that you can't move forward until you FORGIVE. Forgiveness is the nucleus that gives life balance.
Were there steamy scenes in this story? Yes. It's a steamy romance. The steam just happened to have come from two males making love.
The foundation of the book wasn't wham bam thank you m'am and there wasn't sex on every page in the book. Matter of fact, the sex didn't come until the characters had been fully developed. The author took the time to give us, the readers, background and that was a home run for me. Don't get me wrong....I love me some sexy scenes, but I like to get to know my characters before I jump in the sack with them ;)
Overall, this was a great story with a powerful message. The author taps into bullying and how evil man kind can be. She gives us real characters, and teaches us the beauty of forgiveness....That one "F' word will indeed give you deliverance.
Aside from Jack and Zack, I have to say Roberto melted my heart and we could all be so lucky to have a friend like him.....I could totally hang out with him. I read this book in audio format and loved the narrator!

Remember Cupid....'Father Knows Best!' ;)
Revisado: 12-16-16
If you could sum up Cupid's Heart in three words, what would they be?
Light hearted, Emotional, HEA
What did you like best about this story?
This was a totally different spin on the Gods and Mythology. We got to see a more 'human' side to the Gods, and boy...some of them cracked me up! The love story of Cupid and Valentina was amazing and I loved how the narrators spliced in certain elements to the convos of Val and Cupid (i.e., Valentina's moans and giggles) Totally cool!
Which character – as performed by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross – was your favorite?
As much as I loved Cupid and Valentina, I have to tell you Somnus was my fav.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes!
Any additional comments?
I love the narration by Kai and Wen. They have a chemistry that translated into the narration, and while this was my first Kai/Wen listen, I'll look for more of their productions. I'm also hoping that Somnus will have a story. Since he's my fav and all, they way the story left off, I'm kinda guessing there 'could be' more????

What would YOU do to save your life?
Revisado: 09-19-16
What made the experience of listening to The Healer the most enjoyable?
The voice of the narrator made for a very engaging experience
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The story was steady paced - not an action packed thriller, but well written so you have to keep reading (listening). Emotionally, there were ups and downs and I felt so bad for Erica. Who to trust? Who is telling you the truth?
Which character – as performed by Georgina Tate – was your favorite?
I loved Erica. The narrator's voice was exactly as I pictured the character in my mind. Of course, Julia's voice fit perfectly with her dastardly character
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Very much so. Time constraints prohibited that, but it is a beautiful and thought provoking story.
Any additional comments?
After reading this book, I'm left asking myself, "If you thought you were going to die from cancer, how far would you go for the chance at healing? Would you step outside the conventional lines? Would you venture to the unknown to do it?"

Refreshingly Quirky and FUN...SO FUN!
Revisado: 09-18-16
Would you listen to Pretty Things: The Rock and Roll Fantasy Collection again? Why?
Absofreakinglutely!
This fun group of friends and their stories just melt your heart! How I'd love to find a place like Mulligan's and get my closest group of friends together for a "Cheers" atmosphere of camaraderie and adult beverage. Life is much too serious, so why not have a groovy cool rock and roll fantasy set to read with characters you come to love <3
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hands down, it's Niles. Keep in mind, I'm a product of the sixties, so his funky, eclectic style made me swoon. He's such a gentleman!
Which scene was your favorite?
It was a tearful, heartbreaking moment in Scary Modsters where Rosalyn reveals something from her past. TOTALLY didn't see this coming and I actually teared up.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
In It's A Marshmallow World, I was so moved by the relationship Darla had with her Gram Gram....It's a beautiful relationship and call me sappy, but I was moved by it.
Also, in Scary Modsters, when Rosalyn and Niles finally got together, it was pretty moving and groovy too!
Any additional comments?
I'm a huge fan of Hollie Jackson - this narrator can do absolutely ANYTHING! The voices she gives to Ms. Rinella's quirky characters is pretty darn incredible.
As I said, being a product of the sixties and a huge music lover, I found these stories to be so entertaining and I look forward to more.

What did you love best about Unchained Melody?
That it was told from the male POV. Most romance today is written from a female POV this story was great.
What did you like best about this story?
It enforces the fact that love is timeless. I love how Marshall kept holding on to hope and Melody never left his mind. Love it timeless and Love conquers all <3
What does La Petite Mort bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
That voice....OH MY GOD! His voice made Marshall come alive in so many ways. I could just picture a Ben Affleck looking guy in a military uniform with piercing eyes and....well you know what I mean.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me happy. It was a feel good romance.
