Historia
As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Nicole LePera often found herself frustrated by the limitations of traditional psychotherapy. Wanting more for her patients—and for herself—she began a journey to develop a united philosophy of mental, physical and spiritual wellness that equips people with the interdisciplinary tools necessary to heal themselves. After experiencing the life-changing results herself, she began to share what she'd learned with others—and soon "The Holistic Psychologist" was born. Now, Dr. LePera is ready to share her much-requested protocol with the world.

Great book-annoying narrator
Revisado: 11-12-23
Why do authors choose narrator who sound like they’ve plugged their noses. With such
a meaningful and thoughtful narrative why pair it with someone who sounds like they are reading the evening news?? Sorry Courtney-not a fan of this narration.

Audio makes a huge difference
Revisado: 09-05-22
I could somewhat empathize with the youthful arrogance of the heroine while reading this. The narrator of this was terrible. She’s nasally and her delivery leaves no room for any sympathy towards the heroine.

Historia
For decades, Demi Moore has been synonymous with celebrity. From iconic film roles to high-profile relationships, Moore has never been far from the spotlight - or the headlines. Even as Demi was becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood, however, she was always outrunning her past. Throughout her rise to fame and during some of the most pivotal moments of her life, Demi battled addiction, body image issues, and childhood trauma that would follow her for years - all while juggling a skyrocketing career and at times negative public perception.

Wished it was more....
Revisado: 12-06-19
I really wanted to like this book. Demi was an icon when I was young and I idolized her, believe she had the best life. Older now, you can see she was struggling like so many child/young actors.
Unfortunately, she just whines about if for 9 hours. Really. I get she was the victim of her circumstances but she never really owns any of her own actions. The tone and inflection of her narration leaves no mystery to the grudge she carries against anyone who wronged her. Uggg. Not uplifting. Just a total indulgence of poor me followed by her own glorified resurrection. Yawn.

Historia
Much has happened to Gabrielle Reece since her 1997 best seller Big Girl in the Middle. She’s still gorgeous, still 6’3”, and a dominant force on and off the beach, but in the last 15 years, she’s settled down with world-class surfer Laird Hamilton and raised three stunning blonde girls. Her life might seem like a fairy tale from afar, but four years after her picture-perfect Hawaiian marriage to Laird, Gabrielle filed for divorce. In the end, the couple worked it out, but My Foot Is Too Big for the Glass Slipper tells the unvarnished and often hilarious tale of the turbulent ups and downs that beset every wife and mother - even the women like Gabrielle who seem to have it all.

It’s so reassuring to hear someone like Gabby confirm your ideals. Women are different from men and you can have a marriage that embraces both the individual and the couple. That marriage means honestly, independent, submissiveness and a lot of naked smiley time. Gabby does a great job reading her story. Her delivery is more of a conversation than a lecture. I know this is not the last time I will listen to her story!

Good, but not like her others
Revisado: 11-02-18
What Alice Forgot -it’s a solid book and like all of Moriarty‘s books, it makes you think about your own life. However this does not come close to Her Husband‘s Secret or Big Little Lies. The format is a little hard to follow in an audiobook. The narrator, Tamara Lovatt-Smith does a nice job.

More than memoir
Revisado: 08-09-15
A beautiful story of life. If you can see past the Kennedy name and then mystique of Carolyn/JFKjr-there is a poignant lesson. Don't take life for granted. Don't take love for granted. Cherish your family. Recognize life's true priorities. Love Carole R just a bit more for beautifully capturing what it's like to watch someone you love suffer while recognizing the strength of the human spirit.

Historia
From 1999 to 2009, U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history. The Pentagon has officially confirmed more than 150 of Kyles kills (the previous American record was 109), but it has declined to verify the astonishing total number for this book. Iraqi insurgents feared Kyle so much they named him al-Shaitan ("the devil") and placed a bounty on his head.

Great story from a one-of-a-kind perspective
Revisado: 04-06-15
I really liked hearing Chris Kyle story in his own words. The narration was okay. Sometimes the Texas accent felt a little forced and narrator's interpretation of Taya was ridiculous.
However the book itself was fantastic. Whether you are for or against the war you cannot deny the dedication of this man or the soldiers who served with him.
