the entire book is a lead generation tool for the author's agency crafted exactly as he describes a lead generation magnet should be. tell the audience all the ways they're messing up and suggest a few hints of how to do it roght without giving away any details. I expect a book I pay for to be the educational material, not just another step in some a jole's sales funnel.

occasionally inspiring until you pay attention to the details. He pats himself on the back for reducing emmissions while traveling on a large private jet and promotind space tourism. He makes plans for helping the homeless
from his second dining room at one of his dozens of mansions. There are dozens of examples throughout the book

Briggs really phoned this one in

the plot lept jarringly from point to point and was revealed almost entirely by character exposition. All poured on top of a tire serialkiller with a sickle horror trope. I'm generally a Briggs fan, but this is a very skippable moment in the series.

Disturbingly "Murica"

This book is one long Dear Penthouse letter from a guy who clearly only gets off to the latest issue of Guns and Ammo magazine. He writes women like he's never met one and writes combat like he's only ever heard about it in bad movies.

started out thinking it was a war of the world's scenario, then I thought it was headed for starship troopers, but it seemed into a military hitchhikers guide and it was great. narrator was good, but sounded more Bronx than Maine.

This is the most vile, hateful, anti intellectual book I have ever had the misfortune of downloading. The author is advocating a money grabbing far right agenda in the guise of entrepreneurship.

10% instruction 90% sales pitch

I'm actually a fan of the author so it pains me to write such a bad review, but this book is trash. He really goes overboard on the emotional appeal tactics and goes light on actual instruction. If you removed all of the painfully transparent sales pitch and left only the instructional material, it wouldn't fill a podcast episode.

characters are shallow. plot is hard to follow. narrator is monotone. combat is frequent and very mechanical with no sensory input. Setting is almost entirely ignored.

this is a "dramatization", not a reading. They chose to attempt the entire book on dialogue alone with zero narration. There were very few queues to help visualize the setting or action.
