Top Ten Audiobooks Ever
Revisado: 11-05-23
I’ve listened to a LOT of audiobooks, and this is one that I will continue to listen to over and over again. The story and the narrator come together perfectly for me.

Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

This is in my Top Ten (probably top five) audiobooks. It’s so well done. The narrators are perfect for their characters and enhance the story.

Perfect summer listen
Revisado: 06-22-18
This was an audio “read” for me and it is read by the author who has a GORGEOUS voice. Smooth British accent and did a great job. You know by the book’s opening that something terrible has happened and the story does a nice job of slowly unfolding the dramatic events. Suspenseful and fun; perfect Summer read!

Narrator took some getting used to.
Revisado: 11-22-15
Would you listen to The Admissions again? Why?
No, I would not listen to it again but I did enjoy listening to it the first time.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Admissions?
The confrontation between the eldest daughter Angela and her father, Gabe.
What three words best describe Allyson Ryan’s performance?
Sarcasm, diverse, mildly annoying.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
All parents of young children, learn from Nora & Gabe's mistakes.
Any additional comments?
I struggled with the narrators tone, which was mildly sarcastic ALL THE TIME. It was a bit too much, but then I became immersed in the plot and was able to tune that out.
