Historia
Colonel Joe Bishop made a promise and he's going to keep it; taking the captured alien starship Flying Dutchman back out. He doesn't agree when the UN decides to send almost 70 elite Special Operations troops, hotshot pilots, and scientists with him; the mission is a fool's errand he doesn't expect to ever return from. At least, this time, the Earth is safe, right? Not so much.

too many monkeys
Revisado: 11-18-24
The narrator is great! I like the clever and approachable descriptions of fighting and flying and other space stuff. The repetitive and unimaginative banter about monkeys is already starting to grate in book one. Hopefully, the author can find some way for witty to make a comeback.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Hard left turn
Revisado: 10-30-22
This book was great. I even recommended it to a few people while I was reading it. What I didn't realize is that the book goes from being Sci Fi to horror in an instant... I guess the best comparison would be The Matrix. All that aside, would still recommend.

Historia
In many ways, the narrative of the Wild West has endured more as legend than reality, and a perfect example of that can be found in the legend of William Henry McCarty Jr., better known as William H. Bonney or "Billy the Kid". Indeed, separating fact from fiction when it comes to the life of the West's most famous outlaw is nearly impossible, due in great measure to the fact that the young man himself cultivated the image of a deadly outlaw and legendary gunman himself.

Sounded like a term paper.
Revisado: 03-27-21
Narrator was making inflections in weird places. It sounded like someone in high school reading a term paper out loud.
