I live in the Twin Cities, and had my first child 4 days after Jacob was abducted. I held my newborn and watched a mother beg for her son. My new Mom feelings and the newfound love I was experiencing with MY child were so clear on "the mom's" face - I didn't even know her name yet but I could feel her pain. The Wetterling Family's heartbreak and the journey they have been on is sadly close to my heart. Watching Patty all these years be such a pillar of strength, seeing her pain but her willingness to keep sharing their story over all of these years - never giving up hope. WE never gave up hope. She is amazing. I will always keep my porch light on. My daughter - who now has 3 children of her own - and her younger brothers know why they ALWAYS had to check in after school before going to play with friends, Why they couldn't go somewhere without me, Why I had to meet their friends parents before they spent the night, or went somewhere with them. Why I hugged them just a little tighter. Thank you Patty, and the Wetterling's for sharing Jacob with all of us. This book was a view into their family and the YEARS it took for to get answers. The changes Patty's hard work and advocacy have brought to our state and our country. To protect our children, to protect our families. Thank you - XO We are Jacob's Hope.

Long time reader of Anne Rice and huge Lestat fan! Loved this book, I was concerned, because I'm listening rather than reading, that it wouldn't be Lestat, or Louis, that I "hear" but this was wonderful!
