Different Narrator Needed
Revisado: 06-12-23
struggled to finish due to the narrator's monotone delivery. All the dialogue was delivered in the same way so it was hard to differ between characters. There were also long pauses when I thought my phone had shut down but it was just long pauses !!! LoL

Historia
When a young man is found gruesomely murdered in a London houseboat, it triggers questions about three women who knew him. Laura is the troubled one-night-stand last seen in the victim’s home. Carla is his grief-stricken aunt, already mourning the recent death of yet another family member. And Miriam is the nosy neighbor clearly keeping secrets from the police. Three women with separate connections to the victim. Three women who are – for different reasons – simmering with resentment. Who are, whether they know it or not, burning to right the wrongs done to them.

I really enjoyed this story and there were such great points of sarcasm delivered perfectly by the narrator . It was twisty and ended in a way that wrapped it all up . I loved that the only sane one was the octogenarian!

the good and bad of being rich
Revisado: 08-07-21
This book covered a lot of topics from environment to race to economic classes. How money can really provide wealth in so many different ways was fascinating. Also how it can make you forget what it was like not to have money . ugh I am probably not making sense but I enjoyed this books new perspective on age long topics.

Revisado: 07-13-21
This book touches on it all. The extraordinary of the ordinary such as hearing a loved one laugh. Family denial and pretending not to see what is right in front of them. Gilda deals with depression in such a honest and funny way that was delivered perfectly by the narrator. Gilda is a cool character to take a journey with .

Historia
Amy Ashton once dreamed of becoming an artist and creating beautiful objects. But now she simply collects them. Aquamarine bottles, bright yellow crockery, deep Tuscan red pots (and the odd slow cooker) take up every available inch of space in her house. Having suffered a terrible tragedy—one she staunchly refuses to let herself think about, thank you very much—she’s decided that it’s easier to love things instead of people.
