Historia
Simone used to be the woman that other women would use if they suspected that their partner was cheating. She would investigate, find out the truth, and if the men were guilty, exact revenge. But after things went wrong with one couple, Simone was forced to go into hiding. Simone is now Mary, a mild-mannered woman who doesn't raise her voice or get angry, meaning nobody would suspect her of being capable of the things she used to do for a living. But when she finds out that her new boyfriend is having an affair, it awakens in her the person she used to be.

Good Story
Revisado: 10-14-24
Why is there always a nay-sayer when it comes to reviews? Story kept interest / didn't drag. Narration was good. Glad I ignored the nay-sayer and gave this a listen.

Annoying? Yes and NO!
Revisado: 09-13-24
Others have rated this presentation negatively, saying the narrator was annoying. I'd say Yes, she was; BUT I believe it was intentional. She was portraying an annoying, self-centered individual. I think her narrating style added to the humor throughout this book. The way the book was written calls for this style of narration. Well done, narrator! And, as I've observed in the other Freida McFadden books I've read / listened to, the story was captivating and the ending was totally unanticipated. Well done, all!

Delightful
Revisado: 01-29-23
When I began looking at this selection, there was only one review posted, and it was negative. Then I looked through some kindle reviews and decided to go ahead and purchase Talk of the Town. I found it to be a light, delightfully entertaining story. Glad I ignored the negative review that called it boring. Since that reviewer said it was purchased to be a relaxing, bedtime sleep-aid, I assume the reviewer, drifting off to sleep, didn't really listen.
