In Good Bones and Simple Murders, Margaret Atwood displays, in condensed and crystallized form, the trademark wit and virtuosity of her best-selling novels. In The Tent, Margaret Atwood has penned a collection of smart and entertaining fictional essays.

I have never been this BORED listening to a short story collection. Awful stories, some boring, some just plain bad.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Certainly Stephan King alright
Revisado: 08-25-24
Fairy Tale is, absolutely, a Stephan King book. Amazing descriptors of gruesome scenes and heartbreaking moments leave listeners with a well inside their hearts. However, this is probably one of King's weakest entries by far. The plot feels uninspired, as if this was an idea left on the backburner for too long, so King had to cover up the burnt flavor with lemon juice and salt. The dish's meat is somewhat dry, but the marinade and flavors are just what you would expect from a classic King novel. Charlie is a wonderful main character but not the most compelling we have seen. The "dark prince" shebang was refreshing but was sprinkled in too little too late for the listener to form a proper opinion of Charlie's "dark side." But for the love of god, stop making the minor have sex just because.
