I could not stop listening to this. Very well written and compelling. The narration was excellent. A book that really leaves you with new insights.

Narration is excellent - content is exactly as described

Each day consists of a reading through several Psalms and ends with a reading of one book of Proverbs. The narrator is very pleasant to listen to. The reviewer who thought Proverbs were missing probably didn't realize that Proverbs were read at the end of each day.

Easy to navigate update

This has been updated since some of the earlier reviews. There is now a TOC with all the books, chapters, and verses. It is wonderful! The best audio Bible I've found on Audible. Narrator is great and navigation is easy.

I found this very difficult to listen to

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The combination of the old English style of writing and the narrator's strong English accent made it really difficult to listen to this book. Unlike other audiobooks that I've downloaded I had to really concentrate when listening to this book. Also, the chapters are very long and hard to navigate. A couple of times I had paused the book on my iPod in the middle of a chapter, accidentally clicked the wrong chapter and had to listen to the entire chapter from the beginning.

Did The Pilgrim's Progress inspire you to do anything?

The story is an excellent allegory and I found myself thinking about Christian's journey throughout my day. Reading the book in the old English has always been tough for me and I had hoped the audio version would help. However, even with the audio, the book is still a difficult read.

Memorable, Thought-Provoking

Who was your favorite character and why?

Celia is my favorite character. Although she plays a relatively minor role, I can identify with her on some level.

If you could take any character from The Help out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Skeeter would be very interesting to talk with. She is real and sincere.

Any additional comments?

The Audible presentation of this book is amazing. The narrators are excellent and the performance is unforgettable. I also watched the movie, but the audible book is soooo much better, and you get all the details that the movie leaves out. It was well worth the many hours of listening time. I was soooo sad when this book ended. It's one I won't soon forget.
