I have admired Tina since I was a girl. She stood out of the crowd. When I found out about her life with her first husband, I was in awe of her strength. She rebuilt her career with great success. We are all lucky that she did, to hear her voice and see her preform. I knew that she was a Buddhist, as I am. She was a guiding light. Not because she was famous, but because of who she was in her heart. I hope she is at peace and full of enlightenment. In Gassho, Anna May.

Must read/listen for everyone

I have not laughed so hard in a long time. Cried a bit, too. I loved all of this sweet tangled story of loss, life, compassion and humanity. A reminder to love one another. Take time to listen to other peoples stories. Work together to make all our lives better.

More than a mystery

I am an American Buddhist. When I saw this book was coming out, I was so excited. I am as so happy it was available on Audible. It was fantastic to show how important our Buddha natures are in every day lives. Weather you are solving a mystery or have difficulty at work or in your personal relationships, when you remember your Buddha nature and see others, you can solve any problem. It also shows that this practice is open to everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity or religion. I also enjoyed the realistic story. Life is messy and swearing happens. Allison did a wonderful job narrating. I truly look forward to more Zip Ono Mysteries!

Best Novel 2018

This story is absolutely incredible. Based on a true story of the authors husband. A brave man who stood up to the Nazis in a very human way. It is really the writing that is so magical. Olivia is such a weaver of words that speak directly to the heart. You need to read this book and understand that there is always light after the Ragged Edge of Night.

Spine Tingling

It has been a while since I have listened to such an engaging book. The author does a smashing job of reading it. The story line is wickedly brilliant. I didn’t want it to end. I HIGHLY recommend this book, especially on Audible.

Amazing

I really enjoyed this book! I love history and especially Herstory. For too long the contribution to our nation by people of color and women has been overshadowed or ignored. I think everyone should read this book. I am going to have my Girl Scout troop read it and watch the movie. Plus my book group is reading it next month on my suggestion. Listen to it!

Not my Kind of book

I did not finish this book. I could not stand the story, the language, or the attitude of the narrator. It gave me a headache and put me in a bad mood. I wish I had not waisted a credit on it. It was a book club pick. I skipped the meeting because I did not even want to talk about the part I listened to.

Disappointed

I had heard good things about this book and then it was chosen for my book club. I did not like the authors voice as the narrator. It was very annoying. I did not like the story. Stupid rich kids doing what ever they want. They literally get away with murder and learn nothing from it and go on to do nothing for society. They have no redeeming qualities. If you do not have to read this book, then skip it.
