Historia
The written history of Singapore dates back to the third century. Later, the Kingdom of Singapura rose in importance during the 14th century under the rule of Sultan Iskandar Shah and Singapore became an important port, until it was invaded by the Majapahit in 1398. It then came under the Malacca Sultanate and then the Portuguese, then rapidly became a major port city.

The start of an epic
Revisado: 04-06-13
Well told story told in the classic fantasy style of myth, magic, and mayhem. Michael Pages does a great reading creating distinct characters as he introduces us to the Lord of the Isles saga. David Drake lays out a solid foundation to build his world. Great ear candy if your looking for a good fantasy tale.

For the Gen X Geek
Revisado: 09-11-11
An amazing tale that drums up memories of nostalgia of the 80's. Wil Wheaton audio rendition of the story is solid. His ties to geek culture and acting background make him an ideal choice. Not since Neuromancer has a cyber story been this good.

Another solid story
Revisado: 07-29-11
Jim Butcher does it again! Ghost Story is another well written, enjoyable piece of the trials and tribulations of Harry Dresden. Although, I missed James Marsters voice, John Glover's performance was well done. The story itself isn't your typical Dresden story, and it does depend heavily on knowing our dear wizard's background, although Jim Butcher does attempt to keep novice readers up to date. Ghost Story keeps the reader guessing with bits of bread crumb clues, all the way up until the end. All in all, its a good bit of ear candy.

Historia
Twenty years ago, it was as if someone turned on a light. The future blazed into existence with each deliberate word that William Gibson laid down. The winner of Hugo, Nebula, and Philip K. Dick Awards, Neuromancer didn't just explode onto the science fiction scene - it permeated into the collective consciousness, culture, science, and technology.Today, there is only one science fiction masterpiece to thank for the term "cyberpunk," for easing the way into the information age and Internet society.

Long before the Matrix, there was Neuromancer
Revisado: 07-07-11
Console cowboys hold on to your seats. This classic scifi tale takes the reader of a roller coster ride across the sprawl as our protagonists find employment and a second chance. The story is excellent, but the reader's pacing seems off at first, but as the story ramps up, so does his rhythm.

Historia
Foundation and Empire, the second in the series, charts the struggles of two mighty forces of civilization who oppose each other in a galactic battle for mastery of the universe. By science and will, the Foundation has so far managed to survive and even gain control of a small federation of planets. However, it has greater enemies to face and finds itself caught between the decaying but still all powerful Empire and the rising forces of the mule - a powerful and talented mutant.

Disappointment
Revisado: 07-13-09
Foundation and Empire was a let down all around. If you've enjoyed audible's reading, Foundation, this will leave you unfulfilled.
The story itself is brief, but well told. Jim Gallant does another magnificent job reading. My disappointment began when I saw the book was being delivered as two separate books, requiring a modest sized purchase for 5 hours of content.
The Foundation and Empire is a decent story following in line with the earlier novel, Foundation. About halfway through Part 1 the story stops and the listener is "treated" to an hour long music performance. Combining part 1 and 2 together, you have about two and a half hours of novel reading and a about the same in music.
