Historia
The predominant message in our culture is that it's okay to have sex whenever, wherever, and however we want. Sex has become just sex. But while society has taken sex too far, the church hasn't taken it far enough. God wants couples to make love in marriage - with passion, with purpose, and with pleasure. Marriages aren't experiencing all the benefits that come from a healthy sex life. Couples are facing a barrage of influences that keep them from connecting with each other regularly - the kids, the career, the house, the errands, etc.

Ranked in my top 3 on "Marriage and Intimacy"!
Revisado: 12-04-13
What did you like best about this story?
I'm probably kind of unique in that I'm a guy, but I love reading about marriage and intimacy and finding ways to love my wife better. I was curious when I bought the book, but pleasantly surpised after reading it! I would definitely recommned it to anyone. My wife and I took a get a way weekend and listened to the book. We were able to talk and connect on an emotional level that was very much needed. I enjoyed the back and forth between Ed and his wife Lisa and loved how there was really a no holds bar approach to saying it like it is, and then opening the door for discussion between you and your partner.
What about Ed Young and Lisa Young ’s performance did you like?
I love when the authors narrate the book. There is more passion in their voice than would be otherwise. Great chemistry.

Lets make love. Lets have sex. Is there a difference? You bet there is! While sex is the joining of two bodies, love is the joining of two souls. Sex without love will never be ultimately satisfying, but sex that grows out of love will take a marriage to a whole new level of satisfaction. In his trademark simple, straightforward style, Dr. Gary Chapman explores the Judeo-Christian teachings on love and sex and teaches couples that if they desire greater sexual satisfaction, they must first learn how to love.

Where does Making Love rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Probably top 5 for marriage and family books. My top marriage book that changed my life was Gary Chapman's "5 love languages". My wife an I give this book as a wedding gift to every wedding we attend. Gary touches on the 5 love languages in this book, but helps remind us how to make love in just having sex. It's a rut even the best marriages can fall into, and this book is a great refresher on how to turn it around. I personally love Gary's Christian approach to his counseling and feel making God part of your marriage makes marriage much easier. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is married or even thinking about getting married.

Great Short Read on Giving Great Presentations
Revisado: 12-04-13
Would you listen to How to Deliver a TED Talk again? Why?
Yes, there was a lot of great information that I defintely won't remember so a re-listen is definitely on the agenda.
Any additional comments?
I loved how he had researched the most popular talks and then broke them down into principles that all of us can use in our lives as business/church/community leaders. I would recommned the read to anyone who may find themselves giving a presenation from scratch. I know I will definitely use the principles in this book.

Hands Down, Best Parenting Book I've Ever Read
Revisado: 12-04-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely. I've encouraged my wife to start giving it out to friends at baby showers. This book was one of those paradigm shifting "aha" books for me as a father.
Any additional comments?
I thought I was a pretty good parent before reading this book, but still had a few questions and knew there were area's I could improve in. My kids are 6, 4, 2, 0... I wish I could have found this book before I started parenting, it has completely changed my outlook on parenting and connecting with my kids.
I had heard about a "no discipline" approach and thought it absolutely absurd. I'm a fairly strict father and hold my children to extremely high standards. We have timeouts, consequences (that my wife and I make up). I'm converted this is not the way to parent your children and that the strategies presented by Dr. Laura Markham work. I've seen vast improvement in my children's behavior.
I was brought up in a strict home and was consequently taught to be a strict parent. I think most parents are that way. But there is a better and easier way to teach our children to become happy, healthy, and responsible adults. It's all about connection, and I didn't realize the how much I was hurting the connection I had with my kids.

Historia
Action-packed from the start, Hidden Order demonstrates yet again why Brad Thor is the "master of thrillers". A string of high-profile kidnappings has Washington, D.C., in a frenzy. When the victims begin turning up dead, frenzy turns to panic. And when the ransom demand is finally made public, panic will turn to terror. In Brad Thor's riveting new thriller, the stakes have never been higher, nor the lines between good and evil so hard to discern.

Fantastic Educational Thriller
Revisado: 12-04-13
Any additional comments?
Brad Thor is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. He has written several of these thriller novels and all of them have been sensational. I've studied extensively the back ground of the federal reserve and from research everything Brad explained in story form for this novel seemed pretty much spot on. I enjoy an author who creates a rivoting story about problems that seem to effect our daily lives whether we know it or not.
This was a book that I didn't want to stop listening to and one that made my long commute to work seem much shorter.

An instant best seller that is poised to become a classic, Moonwalking with Einstein recounts Joshua Foer's yearlong quest to improve his memory under the tutelage of top "mental athletes". He draws on cutting-edge research, a surprising cultural history of remembering, and venerable tricks of the mentalist's trade to transform our understanding of human memory. From the United States Memory Championship to deep within the author's own mind, this is an electrifying work of journalism that reminds us that, in every way that matters, we are the sum of our memories.

Curiously Interesting!

Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book and found it mysterious and captivating. I've always enjoyed learning about the capacities of the human mind and how some people choose to use it. I was sceptical before reading the book, but once I was into it, I looked forward to my long commutes to work. I found it fascinating. I was a little disappointed in how the book ended. It's conclusion was suprising to me and unexpected, but reasonable. I'll leave it at that.

In Made to Stick, Chip and Dan Heath reveal the anatomy of ideas that stick and explain ways to make ideas stickier, such as applying the human scale principle, using the Velcro Theory of Memory, and creating curiosity gaps. Along the way, we discover that sticky messages of all kinds—from the infamous “kidney theft ring” hoax to a coach’s lessons on sportsmanship to a vision for a new product at Sony—draw their power from the same six traits.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book probably ranks in my top 3 for self improvement/business books. Chip and Dan did a great job writing this. It flowed smoothly, was entertaining, and had the perfect amount of instruction, research, and stories to effectively teach you on how to make your idea's resonate with people. I will use it as a father, a church leader, and in my profession as a financial advisor. I would highly recommend this book.
