Historia
Living Trusts for Everyone is the best resource for setting up a living trust. Explaining in specific terms what benefits a trust will have, Ronald Farrington Sharp gives the tools necessary to set up a loved one's trust with no lawyers and no expense. Wills benefit lawyers. Trusts benefit the clients. Too often lawyers sell wills to clients only to sit back and wait to sell their probate services to their clients' heirs. Ronald Farrington Sharp describes the best way to handle modern estate planning.

How did Circuit City go from a Mom and Pop store with a mere $13,000 investment, to the best performing Fortune 500 Company for any 15-year period between 1965 and 1995, to bankruptcy and liquidation in 2009? What must leaders do not only to take a business from good to great, but to avoid plummeting from great to gone in a constantly evolving marketplace?

Honest Analysis Of A Once Great Company
Revisado: 05-25-23
There was a book by a former automotive executive filled with excuses and blaming of other companies for his failure. This author did not do that and I appreciate it. He analyzes the rise and fall of a company he helped build and then destroy and explains how they built it up and then what they did wrong which ultimately lead to its fall.

Historia
What is the boy crisis? It's a crisis of education. For the first time in American history, our sons will have less education than their dads. It's a crisis of mental health. As boys become young men, their suicide rates go from equal to girls to six times that of young women. It's a crisis of sexuality. Sex is a minefield for our sons. They're bombarded with mixed messages, afraid of being either too sensitive or not sensitive enough.

This Book Was Supposed to be Good
Revisado: 08-17-22
There were some great points but the misinformation was prolific. Listen with extreme caution. The book sounds like it should be moderate or conservative; it is not and it is loaded with pseudo scientific claims. One such claim is the notion that you can cure autism with hot baths, extremely restricted diets, and mega-dosing vitamins and minerals.

Historia
Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

It's Basically A Business Story Book
Revisado: 03-03-22
I disagree with some of the business practices he talks about using - especially taking advantage of antitrust laws. Antitrust laws are mostly or maybe entirely immoral - harming both businesses and the employess/customers they serve. That being said, the book was interesting and does describe some great business practice and cool ways to deal with politicians.

Historia
The foundations of capitalism are being battered by a flood of altruism, which is the cause of the modern world's collapse. This was the view of Ayn Rand, a view so radically opposed to prevailing attitudes that it constituted a major philosophic revolution. In this series of essays, she presented her stand on the persecution of big business, the causes of war, the default of conservatism, and the evils of altruism.

Historia
Why do people dodge responsibility when things fall apart? Why the parade of public figures unable to own up when they screw up? Why the endless marital quarrels over who is right? Why can we see hypocrisy in others but not in ourselves? Are we all liars? Or do we really believe the stories we tell? Renowned social psychologists Carol Tavris and Elliot Aronson take a compelling look into how the brain is wired for self-justification.

Historia
During the last decade, we have witnessed an unparalleled explosion of interest in the practice of "servant-leadership," as today's business leaders search for a new leadership model for the 21st century. Based on the seminal work of Robert K. Greenleaf, a former AT&T executive who coined the term almost 30 years ago, servant-leadership emphasizes an emerging approach to leadership--one which puts serving others, including employees, customers, and community, first.

A Mix Of Constructive And Destructive Philosophy
Revisado: 05-04-21
There is much to be learned from this book. It speaks about the need for churches to develop persuasive influence. It also speaks of the need for true leaders to be servants. On the other hand, a substantial portion of the text has a dangerous sociialist leaning. I could argue strongly against much of the ideology portrayed in this provocative compilation of writings but I digress.

Historia
Ordinary Men is the true story of Reserve Police Battalion 101 of the German Order Police, which was responsible for mass shootings as well as round-ups of Jewish people for deportation to Nazi death camps in Poland in 1942. Browning argues that most of the men of RPB 101 were not fanatical Nazis but, rather, ordinary middle-aged, working-class men who committed these atrocities out of a mixture of motives, including the group dynamics of conformity, deference to authority, role adaptation, and the altering of moral norms to justify their actions.
