This series right here is what brought me into hockey romance. I first read book 1 years ago and I've slowly bought every book in this series. And now I have almost all of the audiobooks.

We get to see these guys grow and play together. Book 1 is a favorite of mine, there's some dark issues but the way that they fight to get on the other side?

And it's a box series so you get four books in one!

I always really love a book when I buy it in Audio too.

this is a second chance romance that really, really brings some angst. they were separated for years because of well... marriage.

the narrators in this book did a really good job, they added to the story.

I've read this book now 4 times and I have to say listening to it on audio has been the best experience.

Both narrators were great, I felt like their voices really became Kayla and Justin. Gideon has a growly type of voice that really speaks like Justin.

Justin and Kayla are not friends. Everytime they get near each other, theres snapping and harsh words. It wasnt always that way. When Justin came back to town he made his dislike of Kayla known. Problem is Kayla doesn't know why.

The story is a true bully romance, it won't be for everyone. Justin comes off as a jerk a lot of times. But even when he was in his hate on Kayla stage, you could tell he felt something different. But when he finally gets the truth it's something else!

the story was so, so good. I wish the male narrator would have read Jamisons pov in the accent he read his letters from though. but overall I enjoyed both of them.

oh my gosh I've must have gone into sugar shock. it was so, so sweet. the narrators were great (omg Santino!!!) and the story was really good too.

Love Redesigned

I have waited, waited, and waited for this book! I remember meeting Lauren at Book Bonanza last summer and, of course, having verbal diarrhea. I was like, "I've read all of your books except that one." (Pointing to a poster of Love Redesigned) She said, "The only way you could have read that one is if you were on my laptop."

Lauren's books have heart, steam, and can be seriously really funny at times. And this one was no exception.

Dahlia and Julian have known each other all their lives. Their moms are best friends, and they have a VERY complicated relationship. At times, friends, rivals... But circumstances have made the two of them distant for a few years. So when Dahlia comes back to their hometown after a broken engagement, Julian wants her to go back as soon as possible.

The relationships they have with their respective family were great to dive into. And this wasn't all unicorns and rainbows. Lauren dives into some deep issues that a lot of people suffer with. It was written about with care and understanding.

And of course, it was steamy and really romantic. At times, Julian made me swoon AND shocked the heck outta me a time or two. I hope that this family is featured in book 2 because they were such great people.

And both narrators were great!

I really liked the story with second chances. one thing I do have a complaint about is the southern accent. it wasnt that great. she sounded great every other time but idk I'm from the south myself and it was a tad bit silly.
