Fantastic and Hilarious!
Revisado: 02-28-19
This was a beautiful story filled with humor, emotion, and hope. Definitely a favorite! The writing was brilliant and the acting was superb! I know it is a "movie for your mind and ears", but this would be awesome to see as a stage performance.

Good Story
Revisado: 10-29-18
It was a beautiful story, and actors outdid themselves with the embodiment of their characters. I'm glad I listened to this story; however, it's not one I would listen to often like some of the other Colonial Radio Theatre productions like Powder River, Beacon Hill, and Royall House. It is s great story for those who love treasure, pirates, and enduring friendships.

Love This Show!
Revisado: 10-29-18
I'm a huge fan of Colonial Radio Theatre anyway, so when I found this I was so happy! I've listened to those program multiple times and the writing and the characters are fantastic. I love the grandmother, she cracks me up. This is a wonderful upstairs/downstairs drama, and it has become one of my favorites from this company.

Great Story
Revisado: 01-30-18
I really liked this installment of the Dresden Files series, and I love James Marsters as the narrator. my only kvetch about this book were the skips in the narration from time to time. That got annoying really fast, but there was nothing I could do about it.

A unicorn, a haphazard wizard, and a spunky scullery woman journey to the dreaded kingdom of Haggaard, an evil ruler who, with the help of a bull-shaped demon, imprisons all the unicorns of the world. This is one of the great fantasy novels of the 20th century. Since its publication in 1968 it has never been out of print, with six million-plus copies sold around the world, and it has been translated into more than 20 languages.

Pure Magnificence
Revisado: 02-26-15
Where does The Last Unicorn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is one of my favorite stories and films. I saw the film when I was a child and loved it. To be honest I still watch it as an adult. When I saw the audiobook was available I thought, "I have to listen to this". I was not disappointed, and will likely listen to it again.
What other book might you compare The Last Unicorn to and why?
There is no comparison because it is unique.
What aspect of Peter S. Beagle’s performance would you have changed?
I'm not quite sure what I would've changed about his performance. I think having a full cast doing the voices of the characters while he did the main narration would have made this even better.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Not necessary because the animated film is practically perfect.
Any additional comments?
This is definitely one of my favorite books, and when I have children I will gladly share this adventure with them.

Fantastic!
Revisado: 02-26-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved that a full cast was involved in the telling of the story. I feel that this should be the standard for all audio books.
What does full cast bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Full cast brings the characters to life for me, and makes the story less arduous. I also think that the main narrator can relax more because they are not pressured to create voices for the characters and remember those voices.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My extreme reaction...I would say it radiates classic. I loved the film, and I feel having read/listened to the book I love the story even more.
Any additional comments?
I think it would be sacrilege if you're Sicilian and you have not read this book. If you've read it and do not enjoy it that is one thing, but if you say you've never read or seen the film that is sad.
