Starts slow, but keep with it!

I had a hard time making myself listen to the first half of book 1. The writing was kind of clunky, the narration just a bit off. But I decided to just ignore those things and kept going, and the mystery was good, the plot kept rolling along, and the characters' snark was fun. I just finished the whole thing, and wish there was more. I'll totally buy a book 5 if that ever happens!

Faith Hunter does it again!

This latest book in the Soulwood series blew my mind! Nell is feisty and smart, and even though she grows leaves, she keeps adding more people to her family like (and unlike) Jane does. Read the first 4 books, then read this one. You won't be sorry! Well maybe you'll need to read the whole Jane Yellowrock series too, so you know the universe. I recommend all of them!

I didn't think I would like this book

I was so wrong! It grabs you and pulls you in and doesn't let go. It's funny and snarky, and read perfectly. It was a different world in 1974, which shows, but it doesn't keep shoving that fact down your throat. Highly enjoyable! I've already downloaded book 2.

I first read Watchers in the early 90's.

I wanted to see if the story stood the test of time, and it has! This book shows strength in adversity, love in times of fear and the ability to grow and flourish while danger is always lurking. The first time I read it, I didn't understand the title, but it's explained well. Just don't miss it! Oh, and the narrator hits it out of the park! Listen to this book. You won't regret it!

This is a cute, standard romance. The only thing that bothered me about it was how did the h survive this long in her life? The poor thing couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time without falling off a mountain and drowning in a lake! She stumbled and tripped so many times it became annoying.

I've enjoyed this series until now.

Good story with nice twists. The romance part though needs some work. There were horrible feelings between the H/h that never were resolved. One got shot at the end and BAM all the problems disappeared. What? These people never communicated about anything and now they're getting married. I would have been happy to listen to another hour of this book if they would be able to work through the problems instead of just sweeping them under the rug.

She was great, I got lost in her voice until the sexual harassment parts.

I would have had the heroine quit her job and go somewhere where she was valued as a person.

I love Nora Roberts, and this book was written well. I was very disappointed in what I thought was just a light romance.
