Historia
Today, most of our money is created, not by governments, but by banks when they make loans. This audiobook takes the listener step by step through the sausage factory of modern money creation, explores improvements made possible by advances in digital technology, and proposes upgrades that could transform our outmoded 19th-century system into one that is democratic, sustainable, and serves the needs of the 21st century.

Economic justice possible
Revisado: 11-27-23
Liked clarity of explanation of system used to place money at the service of all humans to provide for food, shelter and education instead of a casino for trying out financial instruments to benefit the .01 or less leaving no funds for pay for infrastructure development. These funds are provided as credit for productive agricultural or industrial productivity.

Historia
Was America founded on the auction block in Jamestown in 1619 or aboard the Mayflower in 1620? The controversy erupted in August 2019 when the New York Times announced its 1619 Project. The Times set to transform history by asserting that all the laws, material gains, and cultural achievements of Americans are rooted in the exploitation of African Americans. Historians have pushed back, saying that the 1619 Project conjures a false narrative out of racial grievance.

Didn't put in too much emotional content. History obviously has events which obviously includes violation of individuals, tribes and even nations. Whole periods of time when basic human rights are denied for generations or just go unclaimed need to be recorded dispassionately IMHO, especially in times of severe damage. Those times mold character for our species increasing the power of reason. So likely we don’t go extinct. Good job.

Historia
Defending the Constitution behind Enemy Lines is an explosive, tell-all book, detailing the military COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and the resistance to that mandate by service members who could not, in good conscience, go along. As an actively serving Navy Commander, Robert A. Green Jr. removes the veil of military secrecy and complexity to shed light on the related unlawfulness and the official cover-up being committed by certain DoD leaders.

It is heartening to connect with the 99% who are rallying to survive the falsely proud virologists
building a new Tower of Babel and stumbling as they are caught in the bright light of truth. Even more the fake science stimulates a burst of energy that is enough to kick off a new renaissance on our beautiful planet. Certainly expansion of our noosphere and the fertility of our species cannot be blocked by such monkey business proposed by ignorance dressed in Harvard robes. Who are we 99% born with a special power of reason? We cannot be fooled all the time🙏🏽💖. We will forgive but there are consequences!

Well written and well read. Nice details of NYC and some of its peoples in 30’s, their reaction to global military struggles of some other nations. Great acting out of NYC conversations as well as soothing voice reading the narrative. Probably great for driving.

Historia
Agents of Innocence is the book that established David Ignatius's reputation as a master of the novel of contemporary espionage. Into the treacherous world of shifting alliances and arcane subterfuge comes idealistic CIA man Tom Rogers. Posted in Beirut to penetrate the PLO and recruit a high-level operative, he soon learns the heavy price of innocence in a time and place that has no use for it.

The rest of the story
Revisado: 02-16-20
The tender sensibilities of spies slide down a slippery slope leaving perdition in the wake of empires based on looting and pillage? Not to worry; colonialism is over, the white man’s burden is falling of its own weight. Ignatius does not need to apologize for the 1% today. Brzensky imagined the game would hold up. The 99% is cruising the information highway, watching the center as it folds. The book is well written, the reading of it wonderful. Excellent history described, maybe there’s a happier era fast coming on but other challenges will keep humanity busy.

Truth is overwhelmingly powerful.
Revisado: 12-15-19
By tracing the story of our nation’s history of these years Baker has traced the story of the development of her own character and as well the development of characteristics/identity of our species. Only by sticking with Truth are we able to survive and avoid extinction. Baker made choices to survive. She found safe ways of helping others move toward Truth. Her story could be very inspirational to people of goodwill and seems a natural outcome of our national history. That it is now drawing attention bodes well for our future.

How that happened is the riveting story of Dreamland.

Work on addiction
Revisado: 06-03-18
Addictions to money, sex, drugs, gambling are a great opportunity for our species to mature, to begin paying attention to meeting the developmental tasks of our species, and to pursue happiness. Abundant living is our birthright which means creativity with which we have from birth been endowed gives us this challenge to push and pull us toward growing into our full potential. 🎉so celebrate the chance we have to break the chains of addictions and stand tall in the cognitive domain we are meant for.
