Historia
Capitalism is broken. The relentless pursuit of more has delivered climate catastrophe, social inequality and financial instability – and left us ill-prepared for life in a global pandemic. Tim Jackson’s passionate and provocative book dares us to imagine a world beyond capitalism – a place where relationship and meaning take precedence over profits and power.

Poorly formulated straw man argument
Revisado: 04-27-24
Mr. Jackson raises a few interesting points, but they are lost amid the cherry picking, dependent variable sampling and whining. I suggest Good Economics for Hard Times instead. By contrast, that book offers actual evidence, honest studies and is a more pleasant reading experience.

Historia
One Breath is a gripping and powerful exploration of the strange and fascinating sport of freediving, and of the tragic, untimely death of America's greatest freediver Competitive freediving - a sport built on diving as deep as possible on a single breath - tests the limits of human ability in the most hostile environment on earth.

Just Awful
Revisado: 10-06-21
The narration is really off and painful to listen to. Pauses and accents are randomly distributed throughout paragraphs in inappropriate places. The story goes deep into Nick’s love life and glosses over freediving. Really interesting concept with tragically poor execution.
