So enjoyable
Revisado: 01-25-25
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but in John Scalzi fashion, the book is funny and enjoyable with a cast of character that are lovable and flawed! Wil Wheaton is the best narrator ever! I can’t get enough!!!

BIZARRE. No resolution. Think twice b4 you buy.
Revisado: 04-27-12
Would you try another book from Amelia Gray and/or Hillary Huber?
Probably not
What could Amelia Gray have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Some sort of resolution to this book would have been nice. This book was written so oddly, & you listen to "unintelligible gibberish" about characters you expect to learn more about, or expect somehow their stories will come together... & then... "THE END"
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I expect she read & delivered a bizarrely written book as well as one could.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Threats?
I think so many scenes we confusing or needed to be expounded on. I never fully understood the significance of the laundromat & the woman folding clothes. Was it just to show that others have issues too? & the women working in the garage with the wasps? Find another office, or kill the wasp's nest. Don't just continually allow yourself to get stung. I could have done without the ultra bizarre sex scene in the beauty shop. Completely unnecessary!
Any additional comments?
This book baffled me. So many times I was going to just turn it off & walk away. I think if it had been longer, I surely would have. But, I kept hoping to figure SOMETHING out. I wanted to know where the THREATS were coming from. I wanted to know how these people were going to be connected. But in the end, I'm left more confused & a little ticked off @ the wasted time invested in such a strange story.

AMAZING...UNBELIEVABLY GREAT
Revisado: 12-22-11
Would you consider the audio edition of Thirteen Reasons Why to be better than the print version?
Absolutely...the first time I heard Hannah's voice, my breath caught.
Which character – as performed by Debra Wiseman and Joel Johnstone – was your favorite?
My heart ached for both in different ways. No way I could choose a favorite.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried many times. Hannah's story is so poignant. & it is written so well, I completely empathized with her. On the other side of that, I was angry, confused, bewildered & heartbroken along with Clay.
Any additional comments?
This book engulfed me entirely. From the very first tape, I was along for the ride. And although I'd known, even prior to pressing play, that Hannah was dead...I found myself hoping, begging actually, for her not to do it. I began to care about her, to love her & knew that I would be heartbroken @ her loss soon, just as her town was. Then, just like Clay, I NEEDED to know why...so I pressed on.
I can not recommend this book highly enough. It touched something inside me, changed me somehow...in the end though, isn't that what all great books are supposed to do?
