Phase 3 off to a solid start!
Revisado: 01-16-24
Really liked this book especially the Avar Kriss portions. Great character work across the board. You can tell Phase 3 is already building to something great. Highly recommend you read the comic mini-series Shadows of Starlight before this one.

Historia
Gates Foster lost his daughter, Lucy, 17 years ago. He's never stopped searching. Suddenly, a shocking new development provides Foster with his first major lead in over a decade, and he may finally be on the verge of discovering the awful truth. Meanwhile, Mitzi Ives has carved out a space among the Foley artists creating the immersive sounds giving Hollywood films their authenticity. Using the same secret techniques as her father before her, she's become an industry-leading expert in the sound of violence and horror, creating screams so bone-chilling, they may as well be real.

Oof

This book is like getting mugged in a dark alley, kidney punched and then passing out in a pool of your own vomit. Except you enjoy the whole ordeal and can't help but admire the mugger's technique. Not for the weak of heart.

Perfect Commuter Book
Revisado: 03-19-12
Would you listen to Virals again? Why?
Probably not. I enjoyed it, but I don't imagine it's something I'll ever re-read.
Would you be willing to try another book from Kathy Reichs? Why or why not?
Yes. I'll be reading the next book in the series, for sure. The chapters are short and easy to follow. I listened to and from work and never got bored.
What does Cristin Milioti bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She does a good job of giving each character a voice, and she does good accents that really make you appreciate the dialogue more.
