Historia
In Dangerous Personalities, former FBI profiler Joe Navarro shows listeners how to identify the four most common "dangerous personalities", and analyze how much of a threat each one can be: the Narcissist, the Predator, the Paranoid, and the Unstable Personality. Along the way, listeners learn how to protect themselves both immediately and long-term - as well as how to recover from the trauma of being close to such a destructive force.

Interesting, but should’ve been shorter
Revisado: 11-24-23
I liked the book and found it interesting, but it should have been shorter. The narration was robotic.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Informative in an entertaining way

I really enjoyed the content, and the content is very important. I also enjoyed the format with audio and scenes acted out. I do think the book could’ve been shorter.

I liked this book so much I’m going to listen to it again. I really appreciated that the author narrated it herself, because she has a wonderful voice, and it had a very conversational tone. If everyone read this book, the world would be far more civilized.

Slightly Disappointing
Revisado: 02-13-20
A colleague recommended this book and it was just ok. I found it to be excessively long and go offtrack on a million different tangents about travel and packing and everything else. Also, The techniques seemed to only involve retail and Internet sales. It could have been about 1/3 the length that it is.

Very Interesting, but too long
Revisado: 12-11-19
I liked the book, but like most books these days, I felt like it was way too long. These publishers have got to stop forcing these authors to put filler in them. I really think this could have been a 30 minute book.

Interesting, but too long & monotone
Revisado: 10-31-17
I thought this was an interesting topic, but six hours to listen to this topic is far too long. I think it could’ve been about half that.
The narration was fine, but it felt like a high school science teacher in a monotone lecture. Maybe the material is to blame.
