Historia
Pastor and speaker Shane Pruitt guides listeners in identifying the Christian cliches we've all heard that are actually unbiblical lies. He then counters with the truths about God as presented in the Bible - truths that bring encouragement and freedom for our lives. God won't give you more than you can handle. Really? Pastor and speaker Shane Pruitt shines a light on this and other Christian cliches that upon further inspection are actually unbiblical lies that keep far too many believers stuck in spiritual immaturity.

The "conclusion" chapter was unnecessary and cheap
Revisado: 01-22-24
The chapter entitled "conclusion" was in my opinion, an unnecessary vindictive cheap shot at a daycare worker that dared to refer to the writer's son , who can't walk, talk, or care for himself, as "handicapped". The author, and apparently also his wife, assigned alot of moral value to this comment that wasn't necessarily intended by the speaker. I understand that the author was trying to make a larger theological point that he developed in the subsequent parts of the chapter, but over all, it just made him sound like a judgemental jerk.

Historia
Many Christians are disconnected from the past or imagine they are "above" history, immune to it, as if self-starters from clean slates in every generation. They suffer from a lack of awareness of time and the effects of history—both personal and collective—and thus are naive about current issues and fixated on the end times. Popular speaker and award-winning author James K. A. Smith shows that awakening to the spiritual significance of time is crucial for orienting faith in the twenty-first century.

Too much social justice messaging, but good material to be had outside of that.

Historia
When Mouse’s dad asks her to clean out her dead grandmother's house, she says yes. After all, how bad could it be? Answer: pretty bad. Grandma was a hoarder, and her house is stuffed with useless rubbish. That would be horrific enough, but there’s more - Mouse stumbles across her step-grandfather’s journal, which at first seems to be filled with nonsensical rants...until Mouse encounters some of the terrifying things he described for herself.

Couldn't stop listening

While not as scary as I had hoped, I was definitely hooked. Great narration.
