Too long & too many characters to follow

This and its predecessor were not really described as treatises on the "daddy/son" relationships in gay subculture which were of little interest to myself. The whinny "please daddy" was uttered by the main character so many times it became farcical. I would not recommend these two books.

An enjoyable book and quite revealing of Donald Trump's sycophants.
Joe Barrett s rapid fire reading is somewhat disturbing much of the time.

The author/producer of the book only saw fit to bring the reader/listener to a dramatic point and then dropped the reader/listener like a hot stone and now expect one to go out and buy the second volume.
One can expect a book to be a complete book in a series but not ended like a 3rd rate “Perils of Pauline” serial. Going to return it for credit.

The narration is awful

I got about 30 minutes into this book and just stopped. The narrator's falsetto voice was just too much. No way could I stand 8 hours + of his narration. Have returned this book for credit.

This collection of articles is rather sad. The author admits in the forward she is a married straight woman. Her prose is rather predictable and tired. What you would have gathered from one Gay Erotic story in the 90's she just tosses in a word salad through the first 4 stories, interchanging a pizza guy, dog walker and so on.
The narration is poor and the sound quality is seriously lacking, with hollow "in a bottle tone."

I returned this book after about 45 minutes of listening. It wasn't going to get any better.

Its a "Magical" Quigi Memoir

Admittedly, I bought the book based upon the excerpts which were published in the Washington Post. These detailed the time Sally Quinn dealt with the declining mental and physical health of her husband, famous Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee.

Sadly (for me) almost the entire book save for the last several chapters were about Sally's
atheism/spiritualism journey which was lost then found then lost and found again. This was interspersed with lots of ideas of magic and mysticism and some occult thrown in for good measure.

I was looking for a good read/listen about her life in journalism and being married to Ben
Bradlee and their son Quinn. This leaned heavily on "magic" (duh its in the title), spiritualism, occult and The Quigi Board.
