Historia
Many know Kimberly Williams-Paisley as the bride in the popular Steve Martin remakes of the Father of the Bride movies, the calculating Peggy Kenter on Nashville, or the wife of country megastar Brad Paisley. But in 2014, Williams-Paisley revealed a tragic secret: Her mother had been diagnosed with a rare form of dementia called primary progressive aphasia at the age of 61.

Helpful!

I’m thankful for this read. I cried a number of times, laughed a lot, empathized with the journey, and caught a bit of the needed optimism! I’m so thankful Kimberly shared this journey.

Historia
Elisabeth Elliot was a young missionary in Ecuador when members of a violent Amazonian tribe savagely speared her husband, Jim, and his four colleagues. Incredibly, prayerfully, Elisabeth took her toddler daughter, snakebite kit, Bible, and journal...and lived in the jungle with the stone-age people who killed her husband. In this authorized biography, Ellen Vaughn uses Elisabeth’s private, unpublished journals, and candid interviews with her family and friends, to paint the adventures and misadventures God used to shape one of the most influential women in modern church history.

Encouraging and Fresh Look Back at Familiar Stories
Revisado: 12-30-23
Since I’ve read much over the years on these stories, I was uncertain about reading this title until I heard Ellen Vaughn discussing the book on a podcast. I’m so glad I did. I found fresh encouragement as I listened. I’m eager to continue with Being Elisabeth Elliot!
