different plot and it is easy to feel the struggle of the pyte as a mature individual knowing the heroine from childhood. It is saved from the idea of taboo familial intimacies by the very age of they pyte and his struggle to control his feelings for the adult woman who he has protected for years. I liked it! there was a wee groan of when they finally come together as many of these stories show a lack of honesty leads to misunderstandings which is a bit of a shame as the adventure and suspene of the story is excellent.

I love the story line heroine and the humanity given to our heroes in Ruby's books the narration is perfect for me and the blend of adventure and romance tends to be well balanced. i have to say I enjoy heroines that start and stay savvy, too many adventure romances start the heroines as intelligent and brave degrading them throught the story becoming less comptetent as the story goes. The mandrake company doesn't do this at any time the strenghts of the heroine complimenting and at times drawing out the strengths of the hero and vice versa. good stuff.
