I thoroughly enjoyed this audio book! Every word, every line, every chapter leaves you yearning for more. So much detail, emotion, transparency, passion, and creativity. It personally spoke to me and my past trauma. It reminded me of my old childhood wounds and how I once used bandaids to cover them up for years. It was through the process of therapy that true healing and growth began.
There are so many themes in this book that personally spoke to my soul. While I could list them all, I encourage you to purchase and check it out for yourself. I will say that it is so refreshing to see a man of color talking about his painful past and the journey towards healing! He shows you through this audio book that therapy is essential, cool, and a wonderful tool leading to growth, healing, and self acceptance. You will laugh, you will cry, you will reflect, but must importantly, you will be inspired to heal & grow.
