Historia
Benedict Sorellin-Lancaster hasn't even broken in his lieutenant's insignia when he's summoned to meet with the Spirearch of Spire Albion himself for a very special—and very secret—purpose. The Spirearch needs Benedict to retrieve a bag he's "misplaced" on the Colony Spire known as Dependence, which has strangely cut off all contact with the outside world. It's a delicate mission at best, a potential bloodbath at worst. To this end, the Spirearch has supplied Benedict with backup in the form of three Warriorborn.

Expectations exceeded
Revisado: 10-11-23
I have listened to book 1 at least a dozen times, my favorite clips even more. I was eagerly anticipating book 2 (now so close!) when I realized this was released. My expectations were exceeded with Morton’s fantastic narration and Butcher’s fascinating storytelling. A taste of what is to come I hope. I truly love how the cats are worked into the story so expertly. They concept has the potential to be silly but the author and narrator together make it my favorite part. Can’t wait for more.

Favorite book
Revisado: 01-29-22
I love this book. I have read it so many times that I had to get a second copy. It’s my go to when I need a boost. I even had the original signed by the creator herself.
So believe me when I say that the narrator did an amazing job with this book and series. My single gripe was the lisp for one of the cats, but I’ve dealt with it and moved on.
Children’s book for all ages of cat lovers. Beware the life and death themes in the books, otherwise, enjoy life in the wild!

New experience
Revisado: 01-29-22
I love this series. So I was skeptical about listening to a narrator take me on the journey. But I’m so glad that I tried it out. Loved it just as much as the very first time I read it. I cried at the same parts and jumped up and down (literally) at others. (Yes I am an adult).
Highly recommend the series for all cat lovers, as long as you can endure the ups and downs of life in the wild!

More than 35 years ago, a young author surprised and enchanted audiences with his first novel - the story of Fritti Tailchaser, a courageous tom cat in a world of whiskery heroes and villains, of feline gods and strange, furless creatures called M'an.

Finally an audiobook
Revisado: 01-23-22
I found this book many years ago. It is my go-to book when I need a warm fuzzy blanket wrapped around me. I am on my second copy of the book, the first is falling apart. When I saw that there was finally a recording, I was overjoyed.
The story is wonderful, a cat’s biggest adventure with many vibrant characters.
Recording is good but not perfect. I sped up to 1.2x and found it agreeable. Occasionally volume dips, not sure if that’s editing or narration.
Overall enjoyable and will keep it in my library for those rainy days and Mondays.

Historia
Since time immemorial the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace. Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels.

New favorite book!
Revisado: 07-23-19
I love this book. Listened to it twice so far, will again many times I know. Written beautifully with fabulous characters, especially the cat! Who knew such a thing could be written and then performed so perfectly! Narrator did a great job with the voices - male, female, and feline - and no volume issues. I am very anxiously awaiting the sequel.

Researchers have spent the last decade trying to develop a "pink pill" for women to function like Viagra does for men. So where is it? Well, for reasons this book makes crystal clear, that pill will never exist - but as a result of the research that's gone into it, scientists in the last few years have learned more about how women's sexuality works than we ever thought possible.

My new favorite non fiction book
Revisado: 02-22-18
I loved this book more than I can possibly say. I am going to share it with every woman that I know. I thought that I knew a good deal about myself and my sexuality, but after reading this book, I realize I understood only a fraction... it includes a good deal of science, anatomy, physiology, psychology, various studies, and plenty of examples and stories to illustrate ideas and concepts. Whether or not you think that you need to, listen to this book! I learned so much that I can’t possibly sum it all up, but a few of my favorite points... we’re all made of the same parts, organized in different ways. We’re all normal and ok. It’s not how your sexuality functions but how you feel about how your sexuality functions that influences your sex life. Live with confidence and joy inside your body!
P.S. Emily Nagoski is now one of my heroes; I thank her for writing this book.

Revisado: 06-27-17
I was feeling a bit nostalgic I suppose, and thought I'd listen to one of my favorite books as a child. Just as captivating as I remember with a performance worthy of its greatness. Smart rats and mice triumph over humans, what's not to love? Perfect for children of all ages.

Annoyed beyond all reason
Revisado: 01-12-16
I thought that it sounded interesting, and the reviews were mostly good... But, can the 12 year old just stop whining and asking ridiculous questions? Please?! I hate to be like that, but I simply cannot endure the whining and exasperating voice. How did people get through it? Maybe reading would be better than listening; I can't stand one more minute. I suggest reading rather than listening, if you insist on braving this slow and tedious book.
