Theoretically fundamental, but not inevitable nor statistically sound.

You can’t debate the human and evolutionary dynamics of the trap leading to conflict. One can seen in nature every day. The trap is real. The real question is are the participants situationally aware enough to avoid war. One that note the book is a good review of the trap’s mechanisms, using history’s great examples.

Moore’s Role in the silicon revolution come alive

This right’s the wrong done to Gordon by world in allowing the brightness of Moore’s Law to white out his many other accomplishments. For years I’ve heard from Intel insiders that Gordon was the real force behind Intel’s rise. The media attention given to the careers of Robert Noyce and Andy Grove and the brightness of their personalities has also serve to white out this humble man, shadowing his accomplishments in fantasy histories of how the the company was build. This book rights this wrong, bringing Gordon into the light for the first time.

A pivotal book

It really explains how why it was a turning point. By covering North and civilian viewpoints at an individual level makes it unique. It was also gives important coverage of the North’s atrocities that changed my view of the conflict.

The real Alan

Having lived thru this era, I could never understand how he went from hero to bum so fast. The real story that he was neither. It was the public that raised him up and brought him down -- all with 20:20 hindsight.

Don't overlook this, as it's an amazing personal story

This is one of those books that if u are a man, you'll probably overlook. I certainly did until a good female friend recommended. I am so much in debt, as the lessons in hard decisions and how to recover from bad ones are countless. This book will resonate with you on many levels.

Good 4 history, but dry with little story or theme

If u like facts and figures then this is for you. But if you want to learn something that's applicable in your life today then skip it. I didn't get a single aha moment before I stopped 7 hours in.
