Historia
"My father had more than 50 children." So begins the haunting memoir of Anna LeBaron, daughter of the notorious polygamist and murderer Ervil LeBaron. With her father wanted by the FBI for killing anyone who tried to leave his cult - a radical branch of Mormonism - Anna and her siblings were constantly on the run with the other sister-wives. Often starving and always desperate, the children lived in terror. Even though there were dozens of them together, Anna always felt alone.

This is an excellent read and/or audio listen. The insight into Britney Spears life from her is interesting. So much can be learned by the experiences others share that they have been through.

Excellent Read! Great Series!!
Revisado: 11-12-23
If you like a good thriller, mystery, murder, lots of twist and turns, and the suspense of what will happen next causing you to being unable to wait to hear or read more this is the series of books for you! Even a little love interest comes into play. Who it is might be shocking!! This is the first series of books or any book I have read by Molly Black. Her style of writing is unique and well worth the read. ~CasperChippy

Historia
Thrown Away Child is a memoir covering Louise Allen’s abusive childhood in a foster home, how she survived - using her love of art as a sanctuary - and how she hopes to right old wrongs now by fostering children herself and campaigning for the improvement of foster care services. It is a compelling and inspirational story. This book gives a voice to the many children who grew up unhappily in care.

Excellent Enlightening Read
Revisado: 01-18-23
I choose this rating because I found this book very interesting. Often books do not touch so deeply on topics as this one does. This book could give hope to a child who seems to have lost all hope. Of course, it does have adult content so a child must be mature enough to grasp those concepts. To an adult that has suffered abuse this is an excellent read. Showing that cycles can be broken. I highly recommend this book.
