Great

What can I say? This book lived up to what I expect from a James Patterson novel. It was fast paced and kept your attention right up to the end. Great plot and good reader! Definitely recommend this book.

Historia
When CIA "fixer" Micah Dalton's friend and mentor turns up dead, he's put on a collision course with a killer who has a penchant for intricate knife-work and Native American mysticism, a sadist who is killing ex-CIA agents. The victims are hard-nosed field men whose only link to one another seems to be a global surveillance operation called Echelon. The murders appear to be acts of retribution. But for what?

Boring
Revisado: 07-06-07
In the beginning, the book was somewhat interesting, but as it went on, I completely lost interest. The plot was confusing and I had to keep backing up to make sure I had the plot right. Perhaps this is just not my style of book, although I love mysteries, but if I had not invested so much time in listening to it, I would have given up before the ending. Also, the ending was very strange. I do not recommend this book!

Attention Getter

It was difficult to put this mystery book down. The plot kept you guessing. The author has proven that he can make it solo.
Recommend the book to those who enjoy mysteries and suspense. Insight into the witness protection program is interesting.

Historia
In his final hours in the Oval Office, the outgoing President grants a controversial last-minute pardon to Joel Backman, a notorious Washington power broker who has spent the last six years hidden away in a federal prison. What no one knows is that the President issues the pardon only after receiving enormous pressure from the CIA. It seems Backman, in his power broker heyday, may have obtained secrets that compromise the world’s most sophisticated satellite surveillance system.

Broker Review
Revisado: 03-31-07
The plot was good, but the book dragged on! I think the book could have been half the length and still would have been effective. Too much detail given about locations and sites. At times I felt like I was on a personal guided tour of Italy.
Also, the ending was a bit abrupt given the involved plot in the book. Not one of the author's best. The reader was excellent, though.
