Love the historical story...

1/2 way through the book but so far I’m loving the historical story and Kate Reading’s performance is wonderful as always. The modern story is getting a bit on my nerves though. Eloise is getting a bit obnoxious. Did you know she has a boyfriend? Don’t worry, she’ll tell you... constantly. Also her treatment of Colin’s sister is really starting to get irritating. Just seems incredibly insincere and kinda condescending towards her in my opinion... hopefully, the rest of the book will change my mind

Slow start but she got me in the end

Took me a while to warm up to Penelope as the heroine but by the end I related to her more than I ever expected. Not my favorite in the series but overall an enjoyable experience!

Love the story, hate the narrator

The story is fun and I’m invested enough in the series at this point that I’m not going to return the book but the narrator is atrocious... no idea how that performance was approved. She mispronounces the main character’s name.. how does that even happen?? Kate Reading’s performance on the other books is far superior.
