Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. As Jin, I’m a man of the earth. A wielder of shovels and lord of rice and wheat. And sure, I also had to die and get pulled into another universe to end up here. But guess what? I’m starting to think it was worth it. I’ve somehow managed to get away from it all.

The story was long yet, I wanted more.

I have been avoiding the series for the longest time. every time it came up in my suggestions, I avoided it. finally I bit the bullet and used a credit. Two more sequels later, I am chomping at the bit for more. December is too far away!!!!

I went looking for a female protagonist and I was rewarded with this mana gem. Though the stats listing gets a bit tedious, I just ignored it and continued listening. Good job.

Wow! Better then I expected.
Revisado: 05-24-23
I saw this book advertised by Youtuber Jill Bearup. And though I like Jill and her taste and reviews of various media projects, I was sceptical. However, it is worth money spent on credits. The story has a bit of difficulty with the introduction to the main character, but when you get past that ( and the introduction to a new world that goes with it) the story is very enjoyable. I recommend this.

Historia
Ever wonder what happened to the Isekai’d gamer who found himself incarnated into the overweight body of a LitRPG farmer, only to spit in the face of destiny and earn more money and experience than anyone ever dreamed possible? Fairytales would have you believe he lived happily ever after, but life doesn’t always match up to fairytale endings. Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer turned clerical error, has now become a thorn in the vindictive Northern Regent’s side.

How can a LitRPG be so good?
Revisado: 01-07-23
Love this series. I do not like RPG or MMORPG IRL. However, the written stories about such things fascinate me. This series rises above all I have read so far.

The Back Inn Time series books are fun, faith-filled stories of what it might be like to suddenly experience life in a different time. These clean historical romances are packed with humor and adventure. Perfect for fans of dual timelines or time slip stories and Christian historical romance, these books answer the question every historical fiction fan wonders—what would it be like if I went back to that time? If you enjoy the wholesomeness of Amish, Western, or frontier fiction and adore romantic comedies, then visit a seaside Victorian inn where you can “step back inn time"!

Highly Recommended !!
Revisado: 11-18-22
I can not stress highly enough, that these books are great. I have difficulty finishing box sets of books on audio or written. Mostly this stems from the first book being good and the other becoming tedious. This set is different. I had a harder time with the first then I did with the subsequent books. That is because I disliked the whining and non communication she had with her partner but as the book went along she got more and more likeable. Mostly because she learned from her journey.
So I recommend these books. Because, in my opinion, each one is better then the last.

Hard to get into But.....
Revisado: 08-31-22
I had to start this book over after first three chapters because I was confused by not really hearing any dialog. But it was well worth the effort. I had to change my additude from L la LA la la to this is a story made entirely by letters and it is a puzzle to put out the clues from the letters. when that happened the story was more enjoyable and made more sense. Keep that idea in mind and the story will be more enjoyable for you too.

Enthusiastic review from a neophyte
Revisado: 07-15-22
First, you need to know that I know nothing about military, tactics, or the instruments used by both. But, I do know stories. I have read thousands and heard hundreds of books. So I can tell you with a fair bit of certainty what a good story looks like. This is a good story. I found myself sucked in. I cried at parts, cheering at others, and overall just enjoying the heck out of this novel. I wish I had found this before I had watched the TV show on prime but I got here eventually. Now I have to go rewatch the TV Show so that I can reexperience the show with new eyes. Good work, Mr Carr. Good work!!

After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Adventure!!!! For the young at heart.
Revisado: 06-29-22
I have read thousands of books and listened to hundreds. So, when I say that this is one of the best I have head in a while, believe me.
I received, though this novel, a comprehensive look at recent history though the eyes of one of the most interesting and laid-back characters I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I made me question assumptions about world figures and historical event. It is a very good listen. I you read this review and then listen to the story, keep this in mind. Studies show that intelligence comes from the mother.

Only one gripe
Revisado: 07-06-21
For how intelligent the group seems to be, they did not solve a problem with the obvious solution and unnecessarily lost a friend. But it tells you how good the book is that I want to message the author and point out the obvious so that they can correct the problem. Silly me!
