Thank you Brian for this amazing book. Much of this is information I re-remembered. It’s shocking how much criminality and partisan bs has overtaken us over the past 8 years. We must all be vigilant and do our part to save democracy! Let’s help the many heroes who are doing the work 24/7 - many who have contributed to this book. They are all making a huge difference and we must as well. Our vote is our greatest power. Let’s use it for o preserve our power!!

First of all, THANK YOU Cassidy for your service to this country!!
At a time when we are watching the most reprehensible assault on democracy, let's hope Cassidy's bravery prompts some of the spineless members of politics to find their conscious' and retake their souls!
I have a daughter the same age as Cassidy - I can't imagine that kind of pressure on a young woman that age.
It is time to stop the corruption and mysogny in this world and hold our elected leaders to accouont!
Thank god for people like Cassidy!! It's time for a new movement.

WOW!!!!
Revisado: 04-28-23
Bittersweet! This book is so powerful and it is filled with so many lessons but it leaves me with a few huge takeaways:
Bill Browder is a hero - not everyone will stand their ground the way he does but it really shows us that when we are determined and committed to whatever it is we believe in strongly, we can and will prevail. Life will bring us twists and turns but it's so important to stand for what we believe.
2nd and most importantly, we are so very lucky to live in the greatest country in the world. Fascism is at our doorstep and we MUST fight it. When a country is run by corruption and fascism, no one is safe. We have to pay attention to what is going on in the world.
Thank you Mr. Browder for your courage and for bringing this story to us. It is so much more important today watching Russia's brutality on Ukraine.

Historia
By the time she became US Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch had seen her share of corruption, instability, and tragedy in developing countries. But it came as a shock when, in early 2019, she was recalled from her post after a smear campaign by President Trump’s personal attorney and his associates—men operating outside of normal governmental channels, and apparently motivated by personal gain. Her courageous participation in the subsequent impeachment inquiry earned Yovanovitch the nation’s respect, and her dignified response to the president’s attacks won our hearts.

1st and foremost I hope Ms Yavonovitch can see this because I want to say THANK YOU!!! And I’m sorry for what you have had to endure! This woman is an inspiration with an amazing story and was dragged through the mud by a corrupt administration. This wonderful book really helps us understand our position in the world- something we all need to understand in the world we live in now. I wish I could give this book a hundred stars! Bravo!
