Historia
The murder of a woman from one of the town's oldest families has Rosedale's upper crust howling for blood, and the prosecutor is counting on Ruby's inexperience to help him deliver a swift conviction. Ruby's client is a college football star who has returned home after a career-ending injury, and she is determined to build a defense that will stick. She finds help in unexpected quarters from Suzanne, a hard-charging attorney armed to the teeth, and Shorty, a diner cook who knows more than he lets on.

Really not worth the time
Revisado: 09-24-18
This is probably my last James Patterson book as I was very disappointed. This isn’t even close to a Grisham story as he was advertising. The narrator voice was really irritating. I live in the south and she was way way overboard with that accent. If that is her real voice then someone else should have been chosen. Don’t recommend.

Historia
On the right side of the law. Sort of. Sebastian Rudd is not your typical street lawyer. He works out of a customized bulletproof van, complete with Wi-Fi, a bar, a small fridge, fine leather chairs, a hidden gun compartment, and a heavily armed driver. He has no firm, no partners, no associates, and only one employee: his driver, who's also his bodyguard, law clerk, confidant, and golf caddy.

This is so bad that after the first couple hours I must quit and make this my first returned book.

Disappointing Narration
Revisado: 06-17-10
After enjoying the Camel Club, I am disappointed with this second book. I particularly have trouble with the type of narration. It is much better to have one narrator who changes his/her voice rather than several narrators with a lot of "he said", "she replied" inbetween.

Great Listen
Revisado: 04-19-10
I am generally not interested in anything about the Viet Nam war but I love Nelson DeMille and the book was on sale at the time. Much to my surprise I loved every second of it even the slightly predictable ending.
