Expertly narrated by Alan Taylor, “There Are No Answers, Only Questions” is a riveting tale of how, on the verge of selling his firm to begin a well-earned retirement, Charles “Bruce” McIntyre is diagnosed with cancer. The story takes the reader on a gripping roller coaster ride as it follows Bruce through painful and terrifying cancer treatments while he simultaneously navigates the complications of selling a business. His early life becomes the backdrop for this edge-of-one’s-seat struggle, prompting the reader to experience each event as if it were their own. Bruce’s continued faith in a loving God as he is brought to the brink of death, combined with his relentless trust in myriad doctors, nurses, and technicians working diligently to keep him alive, provides hope and inspiration. And, if triumphing over death isn’t enough, what Bruce does next is as compelling as his earlier battle for survival. His post-survival tale exemplifies deep humility and Bruce’s desire to pay it forward. His subsequent plans take him from a web of bureaucracy at home to the jungles of South America to uncover his new purpose. Combined with the rich voice of Alan Taylor and the poetic talents of the author, listeners of the Audible version of “There Are No Answers, Only Questions” will find it hard to push “stop.” They will also discover that, despite its title, the book is packed with profound answers to complex questions. Still, as Bruce revealed in this deeply personal account, the answers are the first step to finding the next best question.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! Emphatically! This book is "Apollo 13" on steroids! Writing was compelling, fast-paced, gritty and wonderfully sarcastic! Densely packed prose that's blends enough technology with a real life or death scenario. Very believable. Couldn't stop listening!

What did you like best about this story?

The writing and the narrating!

Have you listened to any of R. C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No but I'll attempt to find any of his other stories.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, laughter at times, crying at others.

Any additional comments?
