Maybe if instead of working out, insert a left turn just after chapter 3 and things go in the opposite direction. Maybe a Huge blow out with the family, some embezzlement, a bender maybe some assault, and perhaps an armed robbery and have porter or bray narrate? Yea that’s more up my lane.

Accurately portrays the daily struggle

I think 99% of people can relate to The time line of Henrys life and all the struggles he faces.
Trying to do the right thing is subjective and once you realize that you’re on your own and life is stacked against you, it’ll ring your bells.
Anyone who has trouble being selfless, or doesn’t understand what hand to mouth means shouldn’t bother with this book.

I don’t usually take chances on books with less than a hundred reviews, but I’m glad I found this one, particularly the way I found it. This book was surprisingly enjoyable. Good character development and the story didn’t need a chart to keep track of characters. Story was fun and funny, listening to how out of touch the 1% is always enjoyable and ripping them off is even more satisfying.

If you’ve been in a long term relationship, this book will definitely ring some bells. Characters were relatable and Story sucked me in and I thought about it for a while afterwards.

Following the sociopath was an adventure in itself, and if there was a stand alone just about that guy I would buy it. The narrator is always on point and the story itself was great also.

Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this one. I don’t remember rolling my eyes once. Characters keep me entertained and engaged in the story.
Good work and thank you for the story.
Additionally, I can’t believe that there isn’t more from this author.

Worth the time and a couple credits!!!

I don’t remember putting this in my wishlist but i went back and forth over a week or two about purchasing it. The preview had nothing to do with the book which is why it took so long for me to actually commit, even though the preview was pretty entertaining.
I still have 4 hours to go before I finish. Im only writing this review now because I know my ADD will probably prevent me from doing one when I finish the book.
Anyways, yeah the story uses conspiracy theories as the motivation behind the characters in a tasteful/ nuanced manner.
All in all, one of the best books I’ve listened to in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. Supremely surprised that this book isn’t talked about more.
