Historia
At the tender age of twelve, Jaleel White auditioned for the role of Steve Urkel, the socially inept genius, who was in love with his next-door neighbor, Laura. Though Steve Urkel was intended to be in only one episode, Jaleel’s indelible performance catapulted Urkel into the pantheon of American pop culture. But success can cost as much as it pays. After nine years on the popular sitcom Family Matters, Jaleel is twenty-one, a UCLA undergrad, and adjusting to a world and industry that sees him as the nasally nerd in high water pants, suspenders, and coke bottle glasses.

I wrote my review on Twitter you can find it by finding @swaggymcnasty it’s very honest. I love the show but Jaleel pulls a fast one on us. Marketing this as an urkel memoir when less than 50% of the book covers family matters

Race baiting bs Petito was Italian. White is an ethnicity not a color.
Revisado: 12-16-23
I cannot recommend it due to its questionable tactics and offensive content. The book employs rage-baiting tactics by utilizing an Italian character while conveniently neglecting to acknowledge their ethnicity as they do with other characters.
The author seems to selectively highlight and emphasize the ethnicity of certain characters, such as African American or Native American, while oddly choosing to label the Italian character simply as “white.” This misleading portrayal not only undermines the diverse nature of the characters but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes.
The use of such tactics feels disingenuous and raises concerns about the author’s intent. It appears as an attempt to manipulate readers’ emotions by singling out a particular ethnicity under the guise of a broader label. This approach not only lacks sensitivity but also contributes to the perpetuation of harmful biases.
In a time when inclusivity and accurate representation are crucial in literature, [Book Title] falls short. The author’s decision to use an Italian character in this manner is not only offensive but also detracts from the potential value the book could have offered. It’s disheartening to see a work resort to divisive tactics rather than fostering understanding and appreciation for diverse backgrounds.

Historia
Roger Stringer grew up in rural Mississippi, hunting and eating everything from deer to rabbits. When he had two sons, Zac and Justin, he gave them guns and took them to the woods as well. Then one day when the boys were home alone, he got a call from Zac that Justin had been shot. What follows is an intimate and gripping memoir about the shooting’s aftermath. The story moves between the perspectives of Roger and Zac as they take us through their journey of betrayal, redemption, and ultimately confrontation with a company that had kept its corruption a secret for decades.

Historia
In Legend, acclaimed best-selling author Eric Blehm takes as his canvas the Vietnam War as seen through a single mission that occurred on May 2, 1968. A 12-man Special Forces team had been covertly inserted into a small clearing in the jungles of neutral Cambodia - where US forces were forbidden to operate. Their objective, just miles over the Vietnam border, was to collect evidence that proved the North Vietnamese Army was using the Cambodian sanctuary as a major conduit for supplying troops and materiel to the south via the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Adam “Leroy” Browns story brought me to this book. I got lost for a bit and had to re listen to a chapter several times wondering why they stopped talking about the main character. Eventually moved on and was fighting back tears often. Narrator had a boring voice but the story was great and the main character is a legend!

For the last 16 years, Sue Klebold, Dylan's mother, has lived with the indescribable grief and shame of that day. How could her child, the promising young man she had loved and raised, be responsible for such horror? And how, as his mother, had she not known something was wrong?
