Book 4 and still so good!
Revisado: 04-21-25
Book 4 is the penultimate book before the 2 part series finale (though I do still have the spin off books to read before the final ones. This book is a solid way to not only connect the other stories and characters from the previous books, but set up plot points that will culminate the final arc of the series. Another home run for AP Beswick! Go check it out now!

Book 3 Delivers!
Revisado: 04-13-25
After finishing book 3 of this series it is crazy to me how characters connect together. Orjan easily has become one of my favorite characters, seeing his character develope since book 1, I'm interested to see where it leads and how he ties into Morganas vision. Can't wait to read the next book!

Good Start to the Series!
Revisado: 03-22-25
Before listening to this book, I saw a lot of people complain about the writing and how it was a knock off Robin Hood. Honestly though, if I went into this book not reading the Robin Hood comments, I would only consider it being similar by Viero wearing a green hoof and Jareb collecting taxes from people. Even though it's very loosely based on Robin Hood, it's still a good listen or read and the ending leaves me excited for the rest of the series. I wasn't expecting what the was said in the final line of the book. Starting book two soon, highly recommend!

Historia
Villains aren't born, they're made. Witt was an ordinary NPC - a non-player character in a video game. As a kobold skald, he sang songs to empower heroes before they entered the local dungeons. Every day was a fresh start. Every day Witt woke with no memory of his previous encounters with all those so-called heroes. And every day he forgot the countless beatings and deaths he took at the hands of the murder hobos he valiantly buffed. But when all of those memories suddenly come flooding back, he only wants one thing: Revenge.

Good Short Listen
Revisado: 03-05-25
I've heard many good things about this book. It's a shorter listen and the story is interesting. Its interesting seeing a nice, calm, and friendly npc become a power hungry, confident, leader and villain.. I'm curious to see where it goes from here. Not sure if there's a book 2 out, but if there is, I'm definitely continuing it.

Book 3 Still Delivers!
Revisado: 02-27-25
I was a little worried about the changing of narrators and while the change is weird at first, the new narrator grows on you. He doesn't have the same range as the original, but it works. As for the story, the majority of it takes place in the Shimmering Labyrinth and really my only major con of this book, is when the group is in Caelora and finding the entry to the dungeon. It drags after a while and think it could've been toned down a little. That being said, once they get in the dungeon it feels as though the main character is grinding in a dungeon in a video game, beating monsters and getting valuable loot. It gives good bonding time between Mavith and Relia (probably spelling their names wrong). All in all a good follow up, decent narration and minus the one section of the story being a little slower, is a good follow up. Can't wait for June to read book 4!

Very good follow up!
Revisado: 02-08-25
I just finished listening to book two and I gotta say, it is a very good follow up to book one! The continued world building and introduction to characters is well done and a lot of plots within the story merge at points, mainly near the end. Can't wait to listen to book three to see where the story goes from here!

Very Good Fantasy Book
Revisado: 01-25-25
I was browsing audible for a while trying to find my next read and saw some good reviews about this series. It was a little slow start and learning the mechanics of the world, but the main character is solid and while he does have some over powered abilities, he doesn't know how to use them all in this book. So it's not like he's OP from the start. It has some good supporting characters and I can't wait to read more and learn the lore of this series.
