Quite A Story! Enjoyed
Revisado: 08-20-20
Really enjoyed getting lost in this novel and the narrator is one of the best I’ve encountered. The author is definitely a talented storyteller. A star off the performance not because of the impeccable narration but the tiresome intro music with almost every chapter which I found unnecessary and annoying after a while. The story is a bit confusing at times where I found myself backtracking to figure the “back in forth” in time and their characters but it does beautifully come together and keeps you interested and guessing which was part of the charm. Thought the ending could have used a little more “something” but otherwise recommend highly.

Historia
Elmwood Springs, Missouri, is a small town like any other, but something strange is happening out at the cemetery. Still Meadows, as it's called, is anything but still. Funny and profound, this novel in the tradition of Flagg's Can't Wait to Get to Heaven and Thornton Wilder's Our Town deals with universal themes of heaven and earth and everything in between, as Flagg tells a surprising story of life, afterlife, and the mysterious goings-on of ordinary people.

The Back Story Of Elmwood Springs for Big Fans
Revisado: 03-22-18
I loved it because I am such a fan of her Elmwood Springs books so this gives you a unique glimpse into how it all started along with the familiar characters like Elner, Tott Whooten, etc. There’s no big plot or main story it is more of a character study but if your a fan I think you will greatly appreciate it. It takes place from the 1800’s to 2016.

One Of Debbie's Best
Revisado: 07-09-15
This was a wonderful story with great characters and a lot of heart revolving around a very painful and difficult subject matter that was handled very well. Like all of Debbie's wonderful stories, it was true and from the heart with wonderful descriptions and characters of the story evolved. I especially loved the fact that it had Habitat for Humanity be such a big part of the story as my family has been involved with this organization in the past and it wonderful. Wasn't crazy about the push over the fast food restaurant KFC though and the 12-year-old daughter's dialogue got on my nerves sometimes, but not a deal-breaker. If you're a fan of Debbie's work I think you'll really appreciate and enjoy this novel and is performed very well by the narrator.

Pretty Damn Amazing & Unexpected
Revisado: 04-22-15
I couldn't stop listening. As an 80s teen growing up in Los Angeles I could identify with so much of the background Rob writes about when he first came here in the 70s. I could identify with so much of it in so many ways as although I decided to not try and be in the entertainment business I dabbled in it here and there at the same age he first did and had a few friends in the industry that were child actors. I especially loved how he talked about all the actors of his age group in the acclaimed and sometimes campy 80s movies many generations still love today. And to hear the real side of some of the things that went on was refreshing to me as I never believe the tabloids or most of the media. I have a great respect for this actor and his family and his work and I have already downloaded the second book to listen to today as I work in my studio. Thanks Rob Lowe for sharing. Not only are you a gifted actor and writer but a great storyteller as well. Thank you for making this book available as an audiobook for those of us who have difficulties with our eyes. Your narration was beautiful.

Really Fun! Love Pepi!
Revisado: 04-08-15
I really enjoyed this particular book by Waverley Curtis. Had a lot of detail & a pretty cool story with a lot of action and romance. And of course I love Pepe and Jerry. Plus I am familiar with the lavender festival in Washington so it brought it to life I can't wait for the next audiobook from the Chihuahua series as I have completed them all. The narrator does such a good job of these books.
